Your cart is empty.The COOL-U" Phase Change garment is designed to be worn beneath clothing without the physiological problems that would result from ice packs being placed in close proximity to the skin. COOLING ENERGY is created from a unique PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL (PCM) mechanically sealed in durable inserts. After freezing in ice water or a refrigerator (it freezes at 58 degrees so a refrigerator will freeze the chemical pack) for approximately twenty-five (25) minutes, COOL-U" PCM Cooling Vests deliver a constant temperature of 58F/14C for 2-3 hours. Our vests are ideal for wearing under HazMat and other Protective Suits (like a mascot costume) or as an alternative to the standard evaporative cooling vests which must be worn outside of clothing to be effective. The vest includes 1 set of 4 cooling inserts. Each vest has side and shoulder Velcro" adjustments to accommodate for various shapes and sizes. M-L is for anyone 100-175 lbs, L-XL for anyone 175-250 lbs.

The ice fest is great! But you need to switch the Velcro so that the top one is soft. Because when you have the rough surface on top of scratches your arms terribly. This is the first ice vest I bought that had this problem.

I have purchased 4 of these in the past 6 years and all are functioning great. It’s cooling capacity depends on how hot is outside and with me it’s between 3-4 hours. It helps my medical condition as due to heat stroke Few years ago I can’t sweat and body’s core temperature and heart races so this is a life saver for me. I take it everywhere I go. When going on travel in summer months I take two of them and they keep me cool.Excellent product.

Sent item back it was dirty and had been obviously used there were gas pipe fittings in the bag and grease spots on the vest. I paid regular price for the vest. I did receive a prompt refund without any problems.

Love that you can put the vest in a cooler to freeze on a camping trip. Also the phase ice pockets are very comfortable. It seems to last about 3 hours for me. I have problems regulating my body temp. and this is a great help.

Not perfect, I still wish it was cooler, but it's better than the previous evaporative vest I had. It's a bit bulky, especially when the gel packs first come out of the freezer, and it's a bit heavy as well, but it does a decent job if worn snug (it adjusts with velcro straps on the sides). It will last a couple of hours in temps 90-100 F. I'm prone to heat exhaustion so this is a necessity if I have to be out in the heat, or working in a warm environment.
