This was a Christmas gift for my spouse, who after retiring sadly discovered I was not going to be a hot breakfast provider. Consequently he took to making himself omelets several times a week. Our old flip top pan, ancient would be a better description, give up the ghost early this month and he was heartbroken. I found this pan in time for a Christmas delivery. He was thrilled. Great pan in every way.

The first omelet I made with this, egg got out of the gap where it folds. It states that you can do up to 4 eggs, but that is more if you are going the frittata route. When you use 2 eggs on each side, then you must limit how many toppings you include, otherwise, the thickness of the egg mixture won't allow enough heat to reach the top. This makes the top runny when it is time to close the sides together. So all in all this is a good pan, it can do more than omelets and frittatas. At the end of the day it's a pan that folds. Just know that if you are having problems with egg coming out the gap, you need to either reduce how much egg you are using, or how many toppings you are including.

I had been searching for an omelet pan like I had growing up. This one works great, non stick (I used olive oil spray, too). Cooked up some veggies and added the egg mixture to both sides, cooked over medium heat and flipped the mixture easily. Very happy with purchase!

The no-stick coating actually works. A little butter and you're good to go. You can easily flip the omelette back and forth till you get the right amount of brown on top and bottom, and for once I didn't end up with scrambled eggs. This really is as advertised. Brings breakfast up a level.

I've only had the chance to use it once so far. We made Colorado omelets. There's a learning curve to using the pan. I think the curve will be different for everyone depending on their level of comfort in the kitchen, but overall it wasn't exactly what I'd call difficult. We had it 'mastered' by the second omelet ;p The handle surprisingly stayed cool to the touch, the pan seems sturdy and it is truly non-stick .. we used no pan spray and the eggs just slipped right out from the pan to the plate. Makes for an easy clean up too! A single silicone handle cover came with as an additional goodie in the box. Honestly, if I had one complaint (this is why I gave it 4*s and not 5) it would be about ALL similarly made pans - I wish they came with a kind of clipping mechanism to quickly and easily grip the two halves together by the handles when shut. It would come in handy when quickly flipping the pan with food trapped inside and also make it easier to store. Beyond that? This pan is one of the better omelet pans I've had the pleasure of cooking with, and for the price you can't really go wrong.

My wife and I are not omelet/frittata experts, just middle-aged non-professional cooks handling the everyday cooking needs of two adults. Given the offer, we tried the TECHEF Free Frittata and Omelette Pan and are giving an honest review. We did a 6 egg frittata.Pros:- Sturdy construction and nice coloring.- The Teflon coating worked as expected.- The resulting omelet was satisfactory.Cons:- There were no instructions for novices like us who havenโt used any pan like this before. A brief video on the Amazon sales page demonstrating the basics would have been a big help.- The food stuck to the rivet heads inside the pan.- The small u-shaped handle is uninsulated and could be burn hazard.- When the folding lid was closed after what appeared to be a proper cooking period, uncooked egg leaked out onto the stove top.- We have a glass top stove, and the movement on the stove top removed some of the panโs covering at medium heat. It was never at full heat. This may not be a problem on gas stoves or electric coils, but canโt say for sure.Overall, we donโt care for it and it seemed to be more hassle than itโs worth, even for free. Perhaps we just need a decent demonstration video to get it right.
