The pointer is perfect size for the kids to use. Rainbow is always in high demand with the kids. The pointer is sturdy and the rainbow part is soft like a rubber duck, which makes if safer and quieter when pointing at the board.

I was looking for a pointer that was foam as I have a smart board in my classroom. I needed a pointer that is softer and would work better for the smart board. I guess they don't make those as this pointer is hard plastic. I have students who are learning to use a soft touch when using it on the smart board.
