About this item

  • TCP Global 6" x 10 mm (7/16") Soft Density with a 6 + 1 Hole Pattern. A high-performance, durable hook & loop foam sponge surface protection cushion pad that interfaces between sander sanding discs or polisher buffing and polishing pads and the tools backing plate pads. It has a 12,000 rpm/opm maximum operation speed that allows quick and effective sanding and polishing.
  • The 6 + 1 hole vacuum pattern on the interface pad allows dust extraction and minimizes sandpaper loading during sanding when it is used along with 6 hole pattern sandpaper discs and a 6 hole pattern 6" backing plate.
  • It keeps the sanding surface clean, maximizes sanding disc performance, and prolongs disc abrasive life. Interface pad may be used with both dust free and non-dust free discs.
  • The interface pad also reduces tool vibration and the soft density foam cushions and conforms to contours for precision sanding and polishing across uneven surfaces. It also allows you to work closer to edges while minimizing the risk of burn-through.
  • It is the ideal soft density interface protection pad to use when sanding or polishing in auto body and paint shops, detailing shops, woodworking wood furniture making, metalworking shops, industrial shops, and other household and crafting projects.

Nice soft interface pad, good velcro. Helps me be gentle while using DA to wet sand.

The soft pad makes it so easy to gently found edges anf smooth surfaces without digging in. I just wish I had found them years ago.

I've used it between a microfiber cutting pad and some sanding with a D/A polisher. Been happy with the results. I'll be picking up a couple more.

These are pretty sturdy pads, they fit great with 6” and the Velcro is really good.

Not a fan. I was sanding down an epoxy table. I use backer pads and it helps with gouging. I got about 5 minutes out of these on a DA before it exploded. Thought it was a one off incident so I replaced it with the second one (I purchased 2) and it also exploded and wiped out my fingers with it. I now have 3 wounded fingers and no backer pads. Cheap product cheap results. I've gotten 6 months + out of the harbor freight pads for a comparison. Save your money for a higher end product and save your fingers

This was my second order for this 6" interface pad. The first one fit perfectly. This pad is 1/4" undersize and as a result, the edges of the pad or paper that I attach are not supported well. Disappointed to say the least.

Good Luck with your window, I have been working on a scratch in my RV windshield for hours , it is getting lighter I will not give up, to replace it would be $$$$ if you can find one, so far I have used baking soda+water, wax compound, cerium, hand cleaner with pumice all of these together and separately, next I am going to try ceramic stove top cleaner and soft scrub may be comet +water always do a test area at the bottom where the whipper rests/stops and use water or you will scratch the glass, I did not put this whipper mark in my windshield but I will take it out. if you use sandpaper I would test the same way as I described.
