Pump works well, but doesn't hold the priming for long. Bring a quart of water to prime it each day that you use it. It doesn't pump fast (unless you are Hercules) but I could pump a gallon from a shallow well in about a minute. An inexpensive way to provide some emergency backup water or (in my case) to provide water to a site with no power for an electric pump.

It pumps well. We got it to provide a shack with indoor water from a cistern and it works with no problem. It pulls water through a particle and a carbon filter.In the US, one of the provided pipe fittings is useless (metric vs US) but the adapter to connect to a hose works so not a problem.

Did its job great all summer. Just keep an eye on those pesky nuts. I bought locking nuts to hold the crank in place and haven't had an issue since. 30 cent fix

I was so happy to find this affordable hand pump for our well. I bought it in case of an emergency so that I always have access to water. It was totally worth it for piece of mind during these uncertain times. I have not had to use it yet and hope that I won't need to but I'm glad I have it! Better to be safe than sorry.
