The product is as pictured, and the dimensions are in the description, but it is smaller than I anticipated... ultimately it worked, but only with the thermostat detached from the wall... before buying, it is crucial to take a measurement, an assumption because my thermostat is small resulted in a poor fit.The locking mechanism is smooth and feels reliable, and the installation was simple

We needed something to protect our RV slide out from "little fingers". This works great. We had to be creative with the install (RV- thin walls. Can't use screws.) We used Command Strips for picture hanging.

Easy to install, fits great, lock works nicely, arrived promptly. Came with two keys and a simple manual. Good quality. You screw it to the wall to cover and protect a thermostat. Use a key to unlock the box and it opens with a hinge to give you thermostat access. Then close the box and lock it. Not much more to say, really.

I've used this product for several months now and it works perfectly for the purpose that I bought it for .I did not use it for a thermostat cover but instead used it for a double light switch cover ,I have a cat that has learned to turn the light and fan switch on in the bathroom ,i do not have to lock the case, so I turned the case to where it will lift open from the bottom and the cat can not open it, thus leaving the light and fan turned off while we are not at home. now if I can find something to keep her from turning the water on in the tub. thanks

Great quality product BUT it's centimeters too small for the average size wall thermostat (the small manual turn dial thermostats). Needs to be more rectangle than square. I can push it on and force it to work but decided to return it. Other than that, well built product.

It's a great box, but the dimensions from above (2.6 x 5.8 x 6 inches) did NOT fit my thermostat ( 5.25 by 4 by 1.25)!!!!!

Product specs state dimension of 2.6 x 5.8 x 6 inches..but that's the outside dimension. I ordered this because I have a thermostat that is 4.125" X 5.0" X 1.0". The box itself feels really sturdy and well-made. I now must continue searching for the correct size. See attached photo for the actual inside dimension (back plate that would be mounted on the wall).
