intended to work with Taylor 2000 series of test kits. I think one drop of R-0004 is equivalent to 5 drops of R-0014 test reagent. I use the R-0004 with my 1000 series test kit, using just one drop to pH test instead of 5 drops of the R-0014 reagent. Test it yourself if you own both reagents.

Taylor is the only brand I use to keep my pool chemicals balanced. Will purchase again. Pretty fast shipping too.

If you run a hot tub, you need to be aware of your water's pH. Test strips are too inconsistent and difficult to read. The Taylor reagents work with the Taylor comparator and provide a reliable, consistent, repeatable test. I only maintain my personal hot tub so the 0.75oz 'A' size is perfect for me. These should be thrown out a year after they are opened, even if the expiration date has not passed, according to the manufacturer.

Easy to use. When I take water samples to my local pool supply store for professional testing, it always matches what I came up with at home. I'm very comfortable with this product

I intended to order R0014 but inadvertently ordered the R0004 reagent. I researched and found that they are NOT interchangeable due to coloration and water sample size. I planned to place a new order for the correct solution. However....I found a site (and one of the answered questions on here) that suggested using two drops instead of the five. This produces a VERY similar result with the water sample in the 1000 test kits. I'm sure if I was to put it under a microscope there may be a slight variance, but it works well enough that I plan to use the rest of the 0004 bottle in place of buying a new 0014.
