the price was fair for this well made poduct, but the dial was smaller than expected.

Did not indicate even anything remotely close to actual temperature.

This is the perfect range (-40F to 130F) for use in a freeze dryer just to keep an eye on shelf temperatures. Works great, quality seems good.

I’ve been using this type thermostat over 30 years. The ability to adjust calibration is a must. However, I selected quickly and didn’t read the details. I was looking for a meat prob (0-220°) and chose this 40-120° hastily. It has many great uses, although not what I intended I have continued to utilize it in my kitchen. And as you can tell by my pic, I did order the correct thermometer as well.

When I place a whole chicken into the oven, it sings Sammy Hagar's tune... just slightly different. "I can't survive 165*F!" And this thermometer pokes like the best of them.Practice food safety, and sing while doing so always.Highly recommended item from a food safety expert. I keep one in my refrigerator, one in my freezer, and one in my silverware drawer (for checking cooked items) next to my other two other thermometers (one being infrared... and you haven't had fun until you use one of those!). BUY TWO OR THREE NOW!!

This thermometer can be calibrated in an ice bath (in a styrofoam cup) and it will be as accurate as a digital device, without batteries. I have the matching meat thermometer in the kitchen and it never fails me. This one will ride on my motorcycle to read air temperature when it isn't in HVAC service. I'd have preferred a slimmer pocket-clip case without the right-angle holder, but others might not. [Incentives never accepted]
