This meter has a 10-ft. ribbon micro-cable that allows you to place the probe within an area and close the door without affecting the probe or door seal. Accurately monitor temperature within freezers, water baths, heating blocks, incubators, refrigerators, and other areas. The fast-response 100 Ω platinum RTD probe can be used in liquids, air/gas, or frozen material.

Works fast and is accurate right out of the box. I needed a thermometer to measure pool and spa temps for my report sheets. I have a more expensive one that I didn't want to leave in the chemical room. This fit the bill nicely and is just as accurate.

I have several commercial meat freezers and needed to calibrate my InkBird temperature controllers (alarms that go off at certain temperature settings). Apparently I had not previously calibrated the temperature and my three thermometers always showed vastly different temps. This Thermocouple Thermometer with Calibration was the answer; I inserted the very slim cord with the sensor inside the freezer and within a very short time is showed me the exact temperature. I was thus able to re-calibrate my alarms, and now they don't go off based on inaccurate settings. Worked like a charm, glad I bought it.

Sensor probe that came with the unit appeared to be non-linear. Within 1 degree with several other thermometers at 70° F, but differed by as much as 3° F at 30° F. The calibration was not banded Low, Medium, High, so any correction calibration applies to all temperature ranges. So you can correct 30°, for example, but then 70°, which was accurate, would be wrong. After buying this product with its tractable standard, I’m still looking for a reference I can use for my other electronic thermometers. So it turned out to be useless as a reference.

This device performs exactly as advertised. I verified calibration at freezing (ice bath at 32(F)) and boiling (208(F) at elevation of 1800 ft.). In both cases the reading was with 1 or 2 degrees of actual; well within specifications. NIST traceability is a plus. What more could you ask for?

Very accurate and high quality product. The only thing is that the thermocouple plugged in at the bottom, which make it almost impossible to be positioned vertically. Mine fell down a lot since I often need to position it vertically.

This thermometer was a little more expensive than some of the others but it is very accurate and NIST traceable so I bought it. I'm very happy with the unit and have used it to set our refrigerator and freezer to the proper temperature. I've also used it to set up our hot water recirculation system to lower the cost of propane burned as well as seeing how hot the air is coming out of our high efficiency wood burning fireplace at various settings. This is exactly what I wanted after unsuccessful purchases of cheaper units.
