It is easy to read from a distance and simple to use: you just stick into the ground! My first one lasted 5 years before sunlight (I think) made the plastic brittle and it broke. I would buy this product again.

This thing will measure the rain and show the results in glaring large numbers. Got the package, installed it in the yard which took about 5 minutes and just in time to catch the first rainfall which measured .25 inches. The gauge and I are ready for more rain.

I like the fact that I can read the gauge from a distance of about 20’ (+/- vision varies obviously) with the bright colored numbers and water level ring. This replaced my old gauge due to the color fading after several years of use though still quite serviceable. And the bottom of the gauge unscrews so that the tube can be cleaned, a real PLUS!!!

I ordered this rain gauge May 2, 2024. In less than seven months the sun has faded the inch markings to be unreadable. I raised the gauge about ½ inch to take the attached photo. In the photo you can see what is left of the markings as this was out of the sun behind the gauge holder. The statement “HIGH VISIBILITY: Accurate, easy-to-read bright yellow increments visible from up to 50 feet away” is inaccurate. It does catch rain though.

I bought one of these years ago. It had white numbers which were easier to see than the yellow and they didn't fade. This new one with yellow numbers is not as easy to see from a distance. Hope they change it back to white..

It is much bigger than I expected at 18" or so tall. But it does the job and is easy to read.
