The DEFCON Trapezoid Serialized Combo Cable Lock is a sturdy locking device with a pass-through loop on one end and a lock on the other. The 6. 5-foot durable galvanized steel from which the cable is constructed is both cut and rust resistant so that it’s nearly impossible to destruct. And if someone attempts to remove the lock, it will noticeably damage the computer, alerting you to potential theft and preventing resale. Each lock is assigned a unique combination and serial number. The small form factor is easy to travel with and keeps out of the way while in use. This lock is ideal for use in the office, at schools, dorms, hotel rooms or other highly populated areas where your laptop could be at risk. Ships with 25 locks.

The hole is too small, seller wont accept item back unless you pay return shipping (shipping within Canada for such a small package is $15..). Wont buy from iSanek again.

I wish this would have fit as the quality of the base seems sturdy. It would have served the purpose of securing my laptop to my desk. I liked that it has a cover plate that covers the screws, so with a cable threaded through the opening of the base, the cover wouldnt be able to be lifted to access the screws. I have an X1 Carbon ThinkPad with a lock port that only the Kensington MicroSaver 2.0 Cable Lock from Lenovo fits into. Its has a flexible, compact cable, but the loop is too large to fit through the opening of this base. Although this isn't the fault of the product, I wish the description had provided dimensions for the opening. Apparently, my cable lock is not the only one that does not fit and this additional information would have prevented the purchase (and subsequent return). I think it would be worth 5 stars otherwise.

Works great, don’t waste your time with the adhesive. Use wood screws (I used longer ones than they supplied) and tnwill bebsuper strong. That adhesive strip isn’t going to stop anyone.

Fast, easy to install. The adhesive can do it all by itself, but for full security, use the included screws. The only reason I bought one by itself was I stuck on to a "temporary" desk at work, using just the adhesive, not the screws. Tried to pry it off later on, but it wasn't going anywhere. So I got a new one

Was looking for an anchor for my kensington clicksafe lock in a concrete wall. The anchor offered by Kensington is for a desk. Either you can glue it (don't really thrust that) or you can put wooden screws. Since I have a small wooden table, that offers 0 sense of security for me. Putting the original kensington on the wall would be possible, but the thing is you still have access to the screws, so a burglar can simply unscrew it. Unless you start with 1-way or "weird" screws, but they are either expensive - or impossible to remove yourself if needs be.That's where this anchor comes in. You hook the kensington cable through the hole, and then you can't move the little metal plate anymore. Of course using brute force you can bend it or try and pull it out, but with these things it is about making it as difficult as possible, so the more it takes, the better.Note that the kensington clicksafe cable doesn't fit through the hook - unless you shift the plastic plastic from it. Then you can slide the hook-part through, slide the plastic through after that - and then shift the plastic back in place over the metal part.Ordered 2 of them and payed for intl. shipping - all fine. Wanted to order 3 more after trying it but it's not possible anymore now since it's changed to a "filler item" - forcing me to purchase at least 25$ (which first of all I don't have other items to order and second of all will hit the import-tax limit). If it was possible last week, I'd expect it to be possible this week to - especially since I payed for shipping. 1 star deducted for this.

No issues. Using it to anchor a tether. It works with the Kensington 64068F MicroSaver Notebook Lock and Security Cable (but "threading the needle" is a bit tight).

This has the perfect use in my life. Something to anchor my laptop and LCD TVs so they do not sprout legs and walk away. I simply screw it into a stud in the wall and I am fine.

After waiting for the shipment, verify that the model is not Targus Security Anchor Base Plate PA400P, is a copy of lower quality and the thickness of the hook is much thinner, not providing the same quality and safety of TARGUS, should update the photo the product they offer and waiting for the same product in the picture.
