So far this thing is great! Comfortable in my lap, the laptop hasn't slipped once while playing! Use a pretty intense gaming laptop and it keeps her cool! Quiet and not too bulky!

I had been wanting to get a platform for my laptop that I could use when sitting on the couch and using it for hours. My laptop would sometimes get hot and I knew I had to do something. Saw this item in a store and it looked like it would fit my needs perfectly. I checked out Amazon when I got home and found the same exact item for a LOT less money. I placed my order and got the item in just 2 days. The item is perfectly, love that I can get the fan to run by simply plugging the USB plug of the fan into my laptop. The fan is incredibly quiet and puts out quite a bit of air movement to keep my laptop cooled. I would give this item 10 stars if I could. Excellent idea and craftsmanship.

I looked at allot of these coolers as lately I’ve been doing some video editing in bed before sleep and my MacBook M2 16 inch gets a bit warm if pushed. Plus it’s hot on my lap.So I thought I’d give this a shot as it wasn’t as expensive as most others but seemed like it would do the job.Firstly it’s very comfortable on my lap now. I can be glued to my screen for a long time while my laptop is sitting on this Tagus cooler. It’s because it has a neoprene style bottom. It’s comfortable. The build quality is good, but this isn’t a heavy duty build I would say. It is rather lightweight and angled. It has a usb A cord that protrudes from its side so it can be plugged in to your laptop. New Mac users need an adapter which is 5 bucks on amazon. There are two sizeable fans in the middle of the stand that blow air towards the bottom of your laptop. They are extremely quiet and unless I put my ear right next to the laptop cooler I can’t hear them at all. There is only one speed. But, even with my video editing it keeps my MacBook Pro cool therefore I don’t feel anything warm on my thighs either.I would buy this again. It’s a good product and works.Recommended.

I picked up this dual fan chill lap mat for my laptop, and it's been a game-changer! The fans work great—no more overheating during long work sessions or movie marathons. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and sits comfortably on my lap without feeling bulky. The cooling effect is noticeable, and it really helps keep my laptop at a good temp. Plus, it’s quiet, so I don’t even notice the fans running. Perfect for anyone who uses their laptop for hours!

I bought the Targus Laptop Cooling Pad because my laptop was getting so hot it was burning my legs/lap during use. This cooling pad provides a great barrier between the heat of the laptop and my legs while also cooling the laptop with fan airflow. The neoprene isn't the softest, but does add to the comfort during use. Lik another review, I agree the plastic feels flimsy. I feel when I grab the pad there is enough give, that over time the plastic may break. I have a 13'' laptop. I was concerned the cooling pad may be too large, but having used it for a month or so, I am not bothered by the extra inch on all sides. I love that you can re-position the USB cord to sit on the left side or right side of your computer. The fans are extremely quiet. Overall, it offers great value and reliable performance for protecting your laptop's longevity.

This cooling pad works very well. We are using it with a Toshiba 17.3 inch laptop computer with 1TB SSD. The laptop fits perfectly on the top surface and does not slip once it is in place. The fans are very quiet and do not distract in any way. Remember, we purchased the Targus 17 inch chill pad--this is all you need for most 17 inch computers. This one IS NOT made entirely of plastic. There is ample padding on the back so it will feel comfortable on your lap/legs when using your computer. It is not heavy and looks very nice.Just be aware that you must be careful of the power cord that comes attached to the unit. It is VERY delicate and thin gauge. So, do not yank on it or fail to store it properly when not in use. Also, you do not always need to plug-in the pad. Oftentimes if the computer is just up off of one's lap (or other things) the lower vents of the computer can get need ventilation from the bottom of the unit through the vent holes in the chill pad.The pad is nice. You will probably like it. We do!

It is just as described- portable and lightweight, and so far working satisfactorily. Used with my Asus Zenbook as well as Lenovo ThinkPad, cooling and airflow all good.

I have a new 15" MacBook Pro with the Intel i7 processor, and it really gets hot. The underside gets uncomfortably hot to the touch (I would say over 140-150F though I haven't measured). I usually have it sitting on my desk hooked up an external monitor, and it is hot enough that the finish on my Ikea desk is starting to crack underneath where the Mac sits. I'm concerned about the heat wearing the laptop out prematurely, since all electronics dislike heat.I shopped around for cooling mats and chose this one based on the mostly favorable reviews. I am very happy with it overall, though I have only had it a few days so can't speak to its durability.I downloaded a freeware app for my Mac ("Temperature Monitor") which reports the temperature in 21 different spots inside the case. The cooling pad lowers the temp of 17 out of 21 spots by between 1 and 9 degrees when it is just sitting semi-idle (i.e. while I'm typing this review). The fans are quiet. Not completely silent, in a silent room you will hear a very faint "whoosh" noise. There is no high-pitched whine or irritating flutter noise so it is not a distraction. The fans don't have to push much air because they are right next to the laptop. My 15" laptop fits on it well. There is maybe 1/4" of extra space on the sides and about 1" in the front and back. I think a 17" laptop would probably overhang a bit, which would probably be ok since most of the heat is generated in the center of the laptop. The USB cord is not long, about 24". It is long enough to reach the laptop's USB port no matter where it is, but if you have a USB hub that is on the other side of your desk or something, it wouldn't reach. For me this isn't an issue since I use a hub that is right next to the laptop. It would be nice to have a power switch on this cable, because with a powered USB hub, the fans will continue to run even if the laptop is off, so I have to unplug it.Several reviewers report problems with laptops slipping or the little rubber feet coming loose or not working. I have had no such problems. The pad comes with four rubber feet about an inch wide and you set your laptop on these. I did not have to move them from their default position and they hold my Mac firmly. I can either set my Mac on top of all 4 of them, or set it so it is braced against two of them. In either position it is firmly in place.Overall it seems great, I hope the fans last, though replacing them would be easy too.
