This is the highest quality reel I've ever held. It's just a work of art. I have only had the pleasure of using this reel twice, but boy is it smooth as butter! The clicking function, unlike other brands, actually feels and sounds really nice and less harsh that the Penn Squall reels I've tried. The line capacity is great and the amount of extra torque that comes with the slower speed is insane. I run 65lb braid and a topshot of 80lb mono. This this is a monster with 40 lbs of drag. I know it's not the most you've probably ever seen, but in a reel this size, it is quite nice.A lot of people were complaining about the brass gears on the inside, but I don't think it's a problem at all. These reels are tanks and the gear reductions further reduce stress on the individual gears inside. But on that note, brass doesn't rust. Steel does... So if you're going to complain about having brass gears in a saltwater reel, then you must have forgotten that fact. I know people will say that it doesn't matter if you wash your reel off every trip, but not everyone takes apart their reels every time they go fishing. And the brass will hold up better over time than steel would.This is a great reel and I highly recommend it for anyone that wants a quality piece of engineering built to slay hogs in the water.

I ordered this reel just in time for my wrekend trip. Placed an order for a 16ii 2 speed and received a single speed. Disappointed.

This reel is all in one. it combine strength, power, and durability.The design is just perfect. the reel is so smooth. i have the TAC 16II and this reel can pullOut any size of fish form the bay without no hassle or struggle from my part.Tuna fishing no problem i used it for the yellow tail is a walk in the park!!!Striped bass, bluefish, sea bass,black fish, flounder, cobia, red drum and all species of snappers. over all this reel is the best reel i have fish with in the past 20 year.
