This is a great quality tape gun, it helped me while I was moving, and it is a great and efficient way to tape boxes. I would recommend getting one if you need to tape stuff a lot.

You sure wouldn't think there would be much difference between all of the tape guns for sale, but this one is absolutely superior in every respect, and it really wasn't much more expensive. It's comfortable to use. The blade is very sharp. Super easy to load, and the tensioner actually works with precision.

Best tape gun ever, It's fast and efficient and does what you need it to. It has a comfortable foam-wrapped handle to provide excellent grip. There's a metal guide to keep the tape in place, and metal teeth to cut the tape. Makes packaging boxes super easy! I highly recommend this product!

I'm a retired shipper so I know a thing or two about tape guns. This Tach-It EX-2 is identical to the ones that I've used at my place of employment in the shipping department, packaging and shipping thousands of cartons over the course of many, many years. We purchased our tape guns and shipping materials from a shipping supply company and this particular Tach-It EX-2 tape gun was always my preferred tape gun. They are extremely well made and they are comfortable in your hand whether you plan to use it in a factory setting like I did or just around the house. There's a reason these are sold commercially to factories and businesses and that reason is in its' build quality - it's built to last. Go with the best and it will last you for many, many years. Now that I'm retired I grabbed one of these on Amazon to use around the house. I actually didn't expect to find these here so I was pretty delighted when I spotted them. If it's any help to anyone I always used Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging & Shipping Tape on the job. It's really good stuff and is very strong. We bought it in bulk by the case loads. I hope I was of assistance and helped somebody a bit..

This product is saving me a lot of grief. Here's the essential fatal flaw in the design of my former tape gun. The metal piece under the roller below the cutter blade is flattened so that the sticky part of the tape has to pass over a 1/4" of flat metal and of course each time the tape is at rest the sticky part firmly adheres to that 1/4" of flat metal. It is a tug of war every time to pull the tape through. With this product there is no flat piece, only a thin edge of the metal plate is exposed to the sticky part of the tape to guide it under the roller. There is no tug of war required each time you pull the tape through. No more grief, much greater productivity.

I needed a new tape gun as my olde one finally gave out. This product exceeded my expectations. It’s very well made and is easy to use. The tape fits perfectly. I’m very glad I bought it.

The first thing you notice about this tape gun dispenser is that it's no simple piece of plastic. The handle and rollers may be plastic but the entire top frame is metal which means it's heavy (in a good way). The quality looks top notch. The biggest gripe I had was that there were no instructions for people who have never used one of these before. I had to go on the tube to find out how to actually load and use this thing. However, once I figured that out, I slid on a tape that I had at home and loaded it up. There is tightening knob on the main roller so that you can adjust its friction. The plastic shield presses down on the tape as you stretch it out over a box (or whatever) so that you don't need to use a hand to do that. Then when ready to cut the tape, the toothed blade cut it clean without any snagging. After fumbling with scissors for years, this machine is a welcome change to help with taping up boxes.

This is a top quality tape gun. A lot of manufacturers throw around the term "Heavy Duty" labeling it on all kinds of garbage, so it has really lost it's meaning. However this tape gun is as good as it gets. I think "Industrial Duty" better describes this item. I offer my qualifications as a tape gun reviewer; I have worked in a very large distribution center for 6 years, and spent months running a department packaging online orders to customers. My employer isn't as big as Amazon, but everyone has heard of them. I have spent 10 hours operating a tape gun at times. I know a good tape gun as soon as I pick one up.So I purchased this tape gun because it looked very similar to the new batch we had received at work (the best ones yet) which came from ULine, and someone on here said their tape gun was made in Italy which the ones I have used were. Also, this thing is a dirt cheap bargain at 10 bucks! Well the one I got says nothing about it's origins on the tape gun itself but it did have a tiny "Made in Taiwan" sticker on the box it came in. No big deal, the quality is clearly there. In fact this tape gun is BETTER than the ULine ones, because those have one fatal flaw. If the operator is of the temporary employee variety it seems that they always attempt to unscrew the tension knob in order to change out the tape. What happens next is the little spring flies across the room, never to be seen again and now you have a paper weight. This tape gun has a little clip on the end which prevents the tension knob from being completely removed unless you really want to. Perfect! Clearly these people know how to make a good tape gun. Everything that needs to be metal is, but it still is not excessively heavy. If you are a business, do not hesitate to buy a hundred of these things. They're as good as it gets. If you are just a regular person looking to tape some moving boxes or sell some stuff on Ebay, well this thing is better and cheaper than one you would go pick up at the local big box store. And it can probably double as a hammer.Highlights: Metal tension knob with awesome little clip to keep it there, nylon washers on the outside of the tape holder (sorry, what else do you call it?) to keep it turning smooth, the metal piece that keeps the tape pressed against the rubber wheel flips down for fast and frustration free tape changes, replaceable tape cutting teeth because they always get messed up, no stupid foam on the handle to fall apart and get all over the place. Also it's cheaper than many of the other inferior tape guns I have seen on here.Cons: Others have a slightly more compact design, and it is a little heavy for some with a full roll of tape on it.
