I ordered this for my job and I love it! It is so easy to connect and you have 3 different ways to connect via usb, cord, or Bluetooth.

Worked as described. I ended up having to return the scanner. Scanner could not be configured to remove the Barcode Prefixes.

The company I work for has its own order app. I purchased this little device for scanning barcodes on products or tags for ordering. I was unhappy with the one they provided me, too bulky. This one can be worn around the neck if so desired. I usually attach it via safety pin in my vest pocket so when I'm not using it, it slips very nicely inside. Cord is long enough to reach store top shelf while pinned into my pocket. I did have an issue with the button getting stuck and it staying on Bluetooth pairing mode for over an hour. The rep I was training thought she needed to over push the button down. After it finally turned off, I took an eyeglass repair kit screw driver, took it apart, removed the stuck button, put it back together, and all works perfectly! Very easy to use too. If this one ever wears out, I'll definitely be getting another one of these.

Nice portable scanner that works with both computers and phones. I tested it on my iPhone first as a Bluetooth keyboard and it worked easy. Then I tried the wireless USB, and that worked well, too. You do need the manual to change settings using QR codes.

The Symcode barcode scanner is impressive for it's size, and has a lot of great features built-in. The scanner comes with a detachable carrying cord, a USB-C to USB-A cable, a 2.4Ghz wireless adapter (USB-A), and an important booklet with barcodes used to configure the device. I scanned the barcode for bluetooth setup, and the device was quickly detected by my MacBook's bluetooth settings panel. Once connected, I opened Excel and started scanning items around my office. As each item scanned, the code populated on the spreadsheet. It takes a bit of practice to scan barcodes quickly because the scanner needs to be a specific distance away depending on the size of the barcode. The 2D model I received can read QR codes, which is a nice feature, and convenient for modern packaging. I like that there is an audible beep and vibration when scanning each item. These features can be disabled or changed if desired as well. If you're looking for a lightweight, portable barcode scanner with wireless bluetooth functionality and many configurable options, the Symcode 2D Mini is a smart choice, and a great value for the price.

I've tested several barcode readers, and among them were what I call the "tiny sized" readers. There have been tiny readers that you wear like a ring or hold between your thumb and forefinger since the mid-90's, but at great expense. Ten years later they were wireless and still costing nearly a thousand dollars.Today, you can get one that works via Bluetooth for well under $50, but many of them are either limited to1D symbologies or don't do a great job at reading 2D barcodes. However, with the Symcode Mini QR 3-in-1, I had samples of most of the 2D barcode samples advertised and the only thing it would not scan is Aztec. I know that particular sample is readable, because I have a wired reader that reads it perfectly. Since I'm not knowledgeable in that symbology, I may be missing something. My 3ft drop test was performed onto a linoleum floor with no ill effects.Pros* Passed the 3ft drop test* Compact and fits well in my hand* Lanyard/keychain ring at the back of the unit* Several hours of battery life* Included mini-USB dongle for PC* Works right out of the boxCons* No visual cue for battery level indicatorFinal analysisWhile not scanning my Aztec sample was not impressive, this unit outdid the entire class of tiny readers that I've recently tested and successfully scanned more codes at a rate faster than most. For under $50 dollars, the Symcode has my vote and is going to be one of the very few that I'll recommend in an upcoming project. While I may hesitate to put it into a warehouse environment, I'd gladly recommend it for a mom & pop business or small operation.
