The manufacturer of my car uses LED bulbs in the taillights of the car. LED bulbs are brighter, but always much hotter. This leads to more frequent bulb failures and eventually to the failure of the taillight fixture.Switching to 1157 bulbs is cheaper, the bulbs(1157) last longer.
