I found this useful to keep with me in the car (in case one of us forgets we needed more wax on a set of skis before leaving for the hill. Haven't used it on a snowboard.It also turned out useful at the odd times when You don't have time, or aren't in the mood for doing a full hot-wax before leaving for the ski hill next morning, but your skis need wax. It doesn't last like a hot-wax, but for me it's been good for more than one day, and worked ok for slushy conditions as well as other conditions.I use it as a stopgap of convenience (if needed) for Alpine skiing, not a replacement for hot wax, so my comments speak to it's use that way.

I mostly use this on scale skis. Works on grip-wax skis but does not last as long as hot waxing.

I use this product for waxing both downhill and nordic skis. It works great - very easy to use and available when you need it. It seems to be good for a week of skiing after each application.

If I was waxing back at home i could use hot wax, iron, etc. This is supposed to be for in field use. Freezes solid at even moderate temps. WTF? Useless and seems way slower than Swix's liquid F4 - that's the one you want i guess.

Schon vor über 40 Jahren ein SWIX-Wachsfan, ist auch dieser Kauf keine Enttäuschung. Hervorragende Gleiteigenschaften bei Außentemperaturen von -6° bis +5° C sowie bei Eis, präpariertem Neuschnee und Firn- bis Pappschnee. Wäre der kleine Schwamm-Applikator an der Tube etwas größer, würde es die Anwendung erleichtern.Nachtrag: Steht das Wachs etwas länger, fällt das Herausdrücken aus der Tube schwer.

Revising my review after 33 days of skiing in Montana. Works really well in variety of conditions AFTER you put on base coat of hot wax AND put it on every day. Have not hot waxed since first day of season.One tube is about 30 days of skiing but well worth it. Keep both the skis and Paste at Room temp for best results. Does not go on well in cold.Saves tons of time and has lasted all day for me from below zero to spring conditions. Saves lots of money.
