This is definitely more heavy duty than a regular camp chair but it's not so heavy as to be too much of a pain to lug in and out of the car if you have a blind or setup nearby. And I do think it's worth it to bring this out because it's 1.) very stable compared to camp chairs that tend to rock and creak with plastic joints on metal legs and things like that 2.) Swivel is silent and offers a fast and easy way to adjust your position inside of a blind 3.) Feels more comfortable to me than most other chairs or bucket seats without a back. I only wish it came with a shooting rest too and unfolding and folding it is a task as the locking mechanism is very stiff. I also chopped my finger pretty bad trying to close the chair and so much force was needed. And of course I was holding the chair seat so that all the built-up force eventually overcame the lock and slammed the metal bars into my fingers when the chair finally folded. But other than that, I like this for long sits hunting

Very heavy. Almost too heavy. Not the greatest choice to carry deep into the woods and back out on a daily basis. It is very comfortable, and well made. The materials are excellent. But that comes at a cost, which is the product's weight. Thankfully, I don't travel very far from my car to my hunting spot during turkey season, so this is perfect for that. It's a pretty good value for someone needing a swivel chair for their blind. Of course, it's versatile, and not just for hunting. You could easily take this to a ball game and be just as happy with it. Just make sure you have a strong shoulder.

There are some features of this chair that, in my opinion, make it better than other "portable" hunting chairs on the market. First is the build quality. This thing is built like a tank! I weight around 280lbs and this chair handles me well. There is no flex that I can notice when sitting down into the chair. This speaks to the quality of materials used here. The metal is robust and the seams on the fabric sections of the seat are just as sound. The feet are plastic but they seem to be quite robust as well. Even if they feet are plastic, I di actually like them quite a bit. They are attached on a bit of a ball joint. This means they have a lot of movement so they can conform to uneven terrain. The legs can also extend and retract with a bit over 4 inches of travel. Again, this helps to make the chair sit even, even when on uneven terrain. The chair closes down pretty flat. There are nylon straps with velcro bits at the ends of the straps. These are so everything stays closed and stops the chair from rotating. It does take a bit of effort top open the chair but again I like that. Stops things from popping open too easily on you. The chair does swivel all the way around. Now this is not a light chair. On the contrary, it's fairly heavy. This is due to the the materials the chair is made from. That's really the tradeoff. Use heavy duty materials and the chair is heavy. Use cheaper materials or thinner materials to make it lightweight but then it won't be able to handle larger folks. Personally I am happy with the weight of the chair as it handles the heft of my body just fine.At this price, I don't think there is a better built hunting chair out there. In particular if you are a bigger guy then this is a fantastic chair to choose.Because of the build quality, the weight capacity and the price, I feel this more than deserves a 5 star review.

This chair is much heavier than I expected and I would not want to carry it long distances along with my gear. For such a heavy chair, the arms are wobbly and I feel like they will not last very long. The chair itself is relatively comfortable, but I have only sat in it for a few minutes. The adjustable height legs are a nice feature and turns the chair into a directors chair of sorts where you sit up higher. Honestly, for the price, I think there are better options out there, but hey, you can decide for yourself. Amazon is great for returning products if you don't like them.
