This replaced the generic jack in an Ibanez bass that had intermittent connection. IBZ should've used Switchcraft in the first place. They're the best!

I used this on my Spector Bass. I had to cut off a bit of the ground tab and reuse the o ring that was on the bass but other than that it was a perfect fit. This was what Spector told me to buy so I knew it was going to be correct. The connections are internal- not like the old jacks where you could access the prongs and clean them- the upside is it lasts a long time. I was replacing the original Switchcraft jack installed in 1988 by the factory. I have many gigs on this bass to that plug got used.In short it is a great and sturdy jack.

A much-needed improvement for my ancient Ibanez bass. All that annoying hiss is gone, my friends! A very affordable, relatively easy replacement that has done wonders for my sound.

This is for guitars / basses with active (or active/passive) electronics, where the jack is coming out the bottom edge rather than the front. I'm sure there are other scenarios where this would be handy as well. This works great. It's a little longer than the jack I had in my bass previously, which in turn was longer than necessary, but that's OK as short jacks probably would not extend into the electronics cavity.Too bad I couldn't find a black one to match the hardware.

This jack is solidly constructed and works perfectly. Cables plug in firmly and don't come loose. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the tip is unnecessarily long and would not fit in a standard Fender P/J bass. I had to drill out some of the wood in the electronics cavity to make it fit.

Fit my Traveler Speedster guitar perfectly! The jack went bad in it. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a jack that fit. This worked perfectly. I cut the part that holds the cable, soldered it up and was up and playing within minutes. The jack is great and holds the cord snugly.

What I enjoyed about this jack was that it had the tooth-like connections for the sleeve. I gave this a 4/5 stars only because the end piece (with the teeth connectors) is a bit flimsy. I highly recommend supporting it from underneath when making any connections. I used this jack for connecting an EMG-81 (solderless). The tiny connectors fit right over the teeth with a pair of needle nose pliers and a bit of jiggling/minute pressure. If you need a long type stereo jack, the 152B from Switchcraft is the one!
