We bought two slides, the grandkids age 2.5 and 3.5 love them, they live sliding together. My adult daughters have used the sides as well. Very sturdy

This slide is pretty great. The only hardware it comes with is for the handles, you'll need your own mounting screws/washers.It took me 6.5 hours (10:30pm-5am...it was a long night) to build the platform from uncut lumber. If anyone cares what we have is:2x 4x4x4' legs2x 2x4x2' aprons (spacing across the top sides)2x 2x4x3' aprons (spacing across the top front/back)2x 2x4x3' cross supports (for the 2x4x2 faces)2x 2x4x4' cross supports (for the 2x4x3 faces)6x 1x4x3' slats for the platform surface*Ladder:2x 2x4x8 cut to length, remainder cut to 5 12in stepsThe ladder part was a pain, i just leaned a 2x4 against a 4ft surface, marked the angle, cut it, used the cutoff to mark where steps should go and what the angles on the feet needed to be. Cut the those all with the circular saw, lined the steps (picked 12in 2x4) and clamped each, screwing as I went. I was 2.25in shorter than planned on the ladder length, but it'll do*this is where my big mistake for the project was made... I should have put the 2x4x2' aprons up top to support the slats, had to add in 2x4 to do the job. Also, I i have gaps in the platform/floor that I didn't want, should have picked up another of the 1x4x6' fencing boards.I plan to add rails and 2 additional cross supports when I replace my screws with lag bolts, but it is rock solid and does the job.All lumber was pressure treated, 4x4s rated for ground contact.The dimensions don't matter near as much as consistency. I cut the legs in half not to exactly 4ft, etc. Happy to answer questions while claiming no particular expertise.

Good sturdy slide for reasonable price. Other options were so expensive so we tried this cheaper option. We are very happy with it! It is sturdy since it’s all one piece. We installed a 4’ slide on a 4.5’ height. This slide is fast but the kids love it! I would not use it for any higher height than 4.5’.

The slide performs as a slide! The connection was easy as I had already prepared for it. I used different screws as they were not long enough to give me a good feeling. The only disappointment with the slide is the attachment of the products labels. The glue is too strong and I had to use goo gone to get it off. Still rated the slide a 5!

The directions say to use with 1 2x4 for support, but the slide is still pretty flimsy. This was easily fixed by using 2 2x4’s (1 on each side) instead of the one down the center. Otherwise, it’s a good buy for the price.

The slide has a nice shape and color. The installation instructions are a little vague but not too hard to figure out. After putting the slide in place I pushed down on the center and it bowed a little. I didn't get on it, I just pushed down on it from the side. I weigh under 150 pounds so for me, this slide is a bit flimsy for the price. Bottom line, I didn't feel it wasn't strong enough for my grandkids. The old one that this one replaced was made from thick fiberglass and was strong. This one is made out of plastic and is (IMO) engineered for added strength. I didn't want to send it back so ultimately I constructed a ladder-like frame out of 2x4s that supported the slide and made it strong enough for adults to slide. No, we didn't! On the day of the slide debut my 9 year old grandson ran towards the slide to run up the slide and his foot hit the dead center with all of his body weight. (I know, slides are meant to be used to slide on. I guess I should have made my grandson read the safety warnings before playing) I watched the slide closely and it didn't budge. I made it work, but not everyone has the means, materials and knowledge to do this. The kids loved the slide and after I knew it was strong and safe, I did too!
