  • Snorkel Center mount design: The Kraken Aquatics Swimmers Snorkel is a necessary piece of swimming gear whether you are swimming competitive or whether you are swimming for therapeutic or rehabilitative reasons. This swimming snorkel for pool allows swimmers to keep head stationary so you can focus on swim technique, body position, balance and efficiency which makes it the perfect swimming snorkel for swimming laps and an important addition to your swimmer equipment.
  • Comfortable silicone mouthpiece: You will really appreciate the soft, flexible, premium quality silicone mouthpiece that not only helps keep the swimmers snorkel in place while swimming laps but it feels so comfortable in your mouth that you'll forget the lap swimming snorkel is even there.
  • One-way purge valve: Nobody likes getting water inside the swim breathing tube and having to stop and take a breather to clear it out. You can easily clear any water out of the training snorkel for clear and easy breathing while lap swimming.
  • Adjustable padded head bracket: This lap snorkel features a padded head bracket to help secure the snorkel to the swimmer. The head bracket has soft pads to protect the swimmer's head and gives a much more comfortable fit. The head bracket also features an adjustable silicone head strap for easy fitment. Simply pull the straps to desired fit and the buckles will hold the straps securely in place. Properly secure the head bracket to the snorkel tube with the provided screw before first use.
  • Special hydrodynamic tube design: The low profile center snorkel tube shape helps to reduce water resistance while swimming allowing you to swim more efficiently and faster through the water.

This snorkel works very well for distance swimming in the ocean. It lasts well unless you leave it at the pier where you go to swim

I use this to swim against the current in my swim spa. So far it hasn’t let any water in. One star removed for the fidgety screw. Other than that I’m happy with it.

Yes, you'll look like a total weirdo. But it's SO worth it. This device helped me sort out my bad freestyle form, in which my neck was bent and my face was pointing forward. Now I'm looking at the pool's floor, imagining that the tip of my nose is sweeping the surface left to right on every rotation. No neck cramping, shoulders in better position, more efficient stroke. (I sound like Dwight Shrute describing his fitness orb. Sorry.) It also helps me forget about breathing during arm workouts with paddles. And it sure is durable: No cracks or leaks five years after I started using it, which is more than I can say for my saltwater snorkel.I'm a fitness swimmer who does 72 laps three or four days a week. It's not unusual for me to throw in 10 extra laps with a board or paddles using this thing. It's actually relaxing to hear deep breathing, and it makes me think of ocean snorkeling -- like a little vacation.

Sobre de embalaje de papel muy maltratado, eso pone en riesgo la integridad del producto. Se maltrata vaya. Todo aplastado el tubo.

There is nothing I dislike. This snorkel is made well, it works beautifully and I am able to use it will my snorkel mask instead of swim goggles so I do not need to wear a nose plug. The snorkel is very comfortable and there were very good instructions and warnings about keeping the screw snug that so many complained about. I am very happy with this snorkel and I will highly recommend it to others. I have been swimming twice a week and I do not get any water in it at all even though I am swimming inside against a current. I am able to keep my head down and neck straight which relieves strain on my cervical spine. Thank you Kraken for this wonderful product. I will be looking into a Kraken side snorkel also for actual snorkeling.

This swimmers' snorkel likely works the way it should, but I did not enjoy it. I found it very easy to drink water through the snorkel as opposed to breathing air. Funny how breathing in water induces instant panic. Well, at least in me. User error has to be suspected as part of the problem, but after being fished out of the pool by the lifeguard, I decided the swimmers' snorkel was not my thing. It isn't super comfortable, giving the wearer a cycloptean feel, and like I mentioned, if you don't sort out how this fits on your head and your position in the water, you may not enjoy this. Superior swimmers and those with the ability to breathe water may feel differently.

I currently use a Finis lap snorkel stability model. It has a cushioned section at the forehead that is comfortable but it's not made for flip turns as it has no one-way exit mechanism for water that gets into the snorkel. This Kraken model seemed like a better item. I did notice mention of a screw but I assumed the screw would be a plastic "gizmo" that one turns by hand to adjust. It is not. It is a real metal screw that requires a screwdriver to turn. While the metal probably doesn't come in contact with one's skin, still it seems to me inappropriate to have a metal part in this kind of item. While waiting for the item to arrive, some competitive swimmers at my pool were using an Orca brand of snorkel. It's not available on Amazon but you can find it online at smaller etailers that charge shipping. The competition swimmers highly recommended it.

I'm not really one to write reviews - which is terrible as I always read them before buying anything - but I felt compelled to leave one for this snorkel, because it has been SUCH a swim-saver for me (neck injury that's now preventing me from turning my head).I have been using this snorkel to swim laps for an hour, 5 days a week, for the last two months now, and it is amazing!I bought this snorkel, and the Swimmers Snorkel () , and ended up keeping this one. This snorkel has nice padding at the forehead (the other did not), and is completely comfortable during extended use. The other was actually painfully uncomfortable. This snorkel also has a slightly broader tube, which reduces the feeling of "breathing through a straw". And overall, from the color to the size/shape of fittings, this one just looks better and has a smaller profile (but lets be honest, you'll probably feel foolish wearing this!).Two things to note: you may find you need a nose plug and there is a brief adjustment period to the breathing.1) If you don't exhale through your nose, it will fill with water and pressure. This has always been standard practice for me when not using a snorkel: turn my head, take a breath, and then exhale through the nose. However, I found it difficult to do with the snorkel (apparently not coordinated enough ha??). So, I got a nose plug - which although a pain to wear works great!2) In regards to breathing, the first 2 or 3 times I used this it did get hard to breathe when I was really exerting myself. Basically, you ARE "breathing through a straw", so there will be a period of adjustment. However, your body DOES get used to it, and as your cardio health improves you won't even notice it.All in all, this is a fabulous snorkel, lets me keep swimming comfortably and I literally use it Mon thru Fri without any issue or complaints!

I have used a Finis training type snorkel for several years & it seemed to work well. I read about this product & thought I would give it a go but didn't expect much to change, after all, a snorkel is a snorkel, right?I read the complaints about the adjustment screw on the head piece coming loose & falling off so, I adjusted it in my house before my swim to get my perfect fit then snugged the screw tightly. It fits beautifully, I do not need to mess with it at all like I did with the Finis one. I put it on & away I go.There was one huge adjustment I needed to make, this snorkel works so well that I do not get ANY water in my mouth. With the Finis one I was regularly clearing the water out as it seeped in from the mouth piece of the occasional water through the top pipe. This Karken model worked so well that I actually had cotton mouth but I can most definitely deal with it!The overall design is superb & I will not use any other. I am a bit of a nut, bordering on OCD for having well deigned, highly functional equipment - I absolutely hate hassle & don't like compromising & this one is, dare I say .... perfect? Well it is for me & I don't think anyone else will be disappointed.Lastly, I do about 10 miles a week (18,000 yards) & do 1,500 yards each, three time a week using the snorkel for training purposes to improve my stroke & kicking alone. I say it to give some perspective of my experience.
