Love the color, quality, and the design! The large handle is ergonomically friendly. It is well-balanced which makes it easy to carry and hold it.The strainer basket is nice and deep, the lid closes it off well while steeping your tea.The tea stays hot longer than I expected.Highly recommend!

Except for the size, the quality and ease of cleaning is a plus. Love the simple design and practicality where the cover can be used as a holder for the strainer

The strainer is nice and deep to keep the tea leaves totally saturated. The cup is just the right size for me and the lid is just a bonus.

I'm very pleased with the Sweese ceramic tea cups. The handle is wider, more comfortable, and more stable than a previous "ForLife" lidded cup I purchased. The Sweese handle is big enough for large hands, yet shaped better than the previously mentioned product. Sweese cups come with a fine metal filter for loose leaf tea, but are also useful for coffee grounds, should you wish to make a single cup of drip coffee (pour near-boiling water slowly over the grounds as it drips). The lid is used to cover the tea while it steeps (keeping it hot while steeping), then serves as a coaster/dripper for the filter after brewing your tea/coffee. The cup size is generous enough to accomodate lattes, cocoa topped with whipped cream, or any other beverage requiring head room. Thankfully, the inside is white - this helps to see the true color of the tea as it brews or to determine the contents (a dark inside color makes it difficult to see the color of the beverage inside) . The coaster-lid is flat and stable - no wobbling. The base of the cup is wider than some of the other tapered tea cups - this too is a plus, as the cup is more stable when setting it down (this is good for us older folks). The cup is dense and thicker than other cheaply made cups on the market. The colors and finish are lovely, making this an attractive cup. My cups were packaged individually in white boxes and bubble-wrapped, then placed in a shipping box, with a warranty, and a coupon for a free metal measuring Tea Spoon. Being individually packaged is ideal for gift giving, or for mailing. Definitely a 5-Star cup.

EDIT TO ORIGINAL REVIEW:It is May 6. I received my cups a month and a day ago. Today, the rim of my cup is cracked and it will develop into a big chip. I did nothing to this cup that would create such a chip if it were quality porcelain. I question whether this is porcelain at all. It seems to be softer than porcelain, or the green ware was fired at too low a temperature to make quality porcelain. I have a porcelain mug here that is the same size, which I have owned for over 10 years that has never chipped. I wanted more of that mug, but could not find them anymore. So I decided to try this one. Believe the bad reviews! This is NOT a quality mug worth its price!OLD REVIEW:I have never had a tea infuser cup before, so did not know what to expect. I was surprised at how big the strainer to hold loose tea really is. Easily a quarter cup, maybe a third of a cup (if you blocked the holes at the bottom that let the water mix with your tea mix). But, then, this is a nice, big cup. I was shopping for big cups. I love my one big ceramic or porcelain cup and I will rinse and reuse it several times between washes. I wanted more than one, though, and could not find this same mug.In my search, I found these Sweese tea mugs. I do like the flowery, fruity Ethiopian tea I get at our local Ethiopian restaurant, and it needs an infuser. These mugs were made for this. And I am a slow drinker, so the lid is just what I need.I unpacked these today and I love these mugs. They are big enough to put my whole fist in as I wash the shiny white inside. The light turquoise color on the outside is very attractive and there are no flaws in the finish anywhere. The lids fit well. I like removing the lid better than drinking through the plastic travel sippy lid that came with my original mug. I am home most of the time, so I don't need a travel lid, but do like the lid to keep the drink warm longer.

I use this mug at work on my mug warmer. It holds a lot of tea, is easy to clean, comfortable to hold and works great. I use the lid as a spoon rest or cookie plate. I like my finum tea filters better than the one included but this filter is good. The cup is a bit heavy and thick, lots of folks like that. I would prefer a thinner walled mug, but it’s not bone china. It’s a nice mug, and giftable.

This was a splurge buy. I'm really happy that I bought it. I'd been using a basket infuser in a regular mug for quite a while, but once I'd moved to an area with colder winters I found the the tea wouldn't stay hot as long as I like. When reading or sitting at computer it's easy to lose track of time. At any rate, tea stays hotter longer with the cover. Because the mug is deep the tea cools off slower as well. This also makes a larger handle possible. Preheating the mug also keeps tea warmer longer and the ceramic seems to hold a lot of heat. The infuser seems to be high quality. The mesh does a good job of straining the powder at the bottom of my tea canisters. It's not as quite good as my old basket infuser, but comes pretty close. It can hold a lot of tea under water (I like my tea strong). My mug arrived in good shape. The packaging gave good protection. It seems to be sturdy. I've fumbled the lid a few times and dropped the mug in our stainless steel sink once without any breakage. The surfaces are very polished (one reason I was dropping the lid at first) so the mug rinses out well and cleans up easily. So far it hasn't stained at all.We don't have a dishwasher and I don't boil water in the microwave, so I don't know how well it does with those.By the way, I have no idea what the item description means by "draw your own design".
