Works as advertised. Comes with a black usb power chord so I ordered a white one, and a little longer so that it wouldn’t stand out so much against the wall.

This says it is the same model. But everything has changed. Power Supply is now USB/C. The power input has moved locations. They have replaced the Small Camera type screw mount on the back of the original which made it possible to use on location freestanding, with only two picture frame holes. Even though I ordered a replacement from previous purchases the amazon photos are all the older version. This model is no longer the same model.

I have 2 other meters which read the same, and make sense. This one, at dead quiet, reads about 6db higher than my other two. As sound level goes up, as shown in the photo, it becomes wildly high and inaccurate. Very disappointing.

DJs are really bad at keeping in check. This was a LIFE SAVER for my halloween party, no one complained and everybody had fun :)

Very useful to protect our ears. The alarm option is excelent. The diferent sound level alarm configuration, time to restore operation and alarm's sound level are awesome features.

I tried to love it.. bought it twice from two different amazon sellers and both were off within 15 plus decibels.I know this as a fact because I have few other hand held precisely calibrated devices and they read in a perfectly quiet room in the 30s range and those puppies would read 44 plus consistently..IF you get lucky to buy one that is perfectly calibrated or have means to do it yourself by which I mean to own a specific exact calibrator that is costly then you will love it.What I like about it:- the sleek design, it is really cute, the glossy surface is pristine and high quality and numbers display nicely.- The absolute black of the screen.- the size- readability form distance-INSTANT response to the sounds, it measure in actual time so it shows the number according to the level of sound as they come instantly.- it has some functions that are usefulWhat else I don't like about it aside from inconsistent off the box calibration:- the location of the USB plug. It is really in a wrong place for me. I assume some people who will put it on the wall will not mind but I wanted to have it set on a flat surface and t he bottom cable plug makes it uneven topsy turvy and won't sit solid. If the manufacturer could put four usb plugs in each wall then it would make it very versatile for all whowant to set it and plug just so. If you had a plug option, left, right, top , bottom and for the good measure also the back so it could be set on the desk with cable going to the back as in computer... that would make everyone happy depending on the situation.More room to improve:- the cable that comes with it is very short. USB cables are not expensive these days and so it should come with much longer cable as the one it comes with is like two feet at best.Considering that it can not be charged and has to be plugged into a source via USB cable then it makes it unportable, you have to be near source.I solved it by buying an energy bank the sort you use for the iphone to charge and it worked seamlessly. I charged to the max a 30 000 bank unit and this machine was connected for few hours and the energy did not go down by one percent so that tells me you could run it form power bank for days if not weeks or so.. don't know this since did not test as long but so it seems.I think it would be a huge pluss if it could be converted to chargable unit per manufacturer. Also should come with SOME form of stand for those who do not want to damage walls or simply hang it on the wall.I could use a self stick double tape to hang it anywhere that does not damage the walls but I really don't like it on the wall to begin with.So bottom line.. if you can get it calibrated, and do not need portable one and can live with short cable or get longer and do not need sitting on the desk then it is good unit.

I put it on the wall in our practice studio to keep the band members’ volume under control. Works great - everyone can see it.I verified it’s accuracy with a hand-held unit that had been calibrated. It was very close.
