I hope that I never have to use this product. If things get really bad and tooth pain is killing you, this beats using an old rusty pair of pliers to pull a tooth,

I don't typically write good reviews, however, considering the circumstances I'm in I decided to.If you're not a dentist or dental assistant you wouldn't understand that these tools are the real deal. You can see by the imprinted numbers at the base of the tools. Yes they are bulky, yes they are big, yes they are scary looking. But they are exactly what dentist use. I see the majority of the negative reviews are from the case they come in. Mine too came in a black case that does not zip of, but please don't let that detour you from the actual tools that are contained inside because I myself am relieved to see that these are legit dental extraction tools. They are true quality tools!

Well, I bought this thinking that I may be able to pull my own damn tooth out and same myself a million bucks but once I opened it I felt really scared.I put it away thinking that I would get used to them but I just opened the bag they came in again and nope and nope. Still gives me the heeby jeebies

I'm not a Dentist_I bought this set because I don't have dental insurance (US Citizen; We don't get such luxuries here), and I have to pull my own teeth when they have issues_I was using tools from my Automotive Tool Box in the garage, before buying this set, to pull teeth_These extraction tools in this set are very large and bulky_ Thick & Heavy_ I was expecting something sleeker ...more finese_These tools make my Automotive tools look like dental tools_Maybe this Extraction Set was meant for a Veterinarian pulling the teeth from a Bear or a Hippopotamus_ I should have read the fine print: shame on me .....but if Bears & Hippo's aren't in the small print: Shame on themSummary: Big, Heavy, Thick, Bulky Extraction tools for a man sized hand operating on a huge roomy mouth_ no size tooth would prove too much for these monster tools

I had a tooth that was really hurting me, dentist would only approve a root canal for it which would have costed me $2K. I had to quit my job over the tooth pain and had no way to pay that, plus I don’t agree with root canals as a healthy option for anyone.I bought these in desperation wanting the pain to stop but of course I could not yank the tooth because I couldn’t cause my own self that pain.Then one day my dentist worked on the two teeth next to the offending tooth that I could not afford to fix, so that tooth was numb too! I came straight home and grabbed one of these tools, and the tooth came right out with no complications! Obviously not recommended, I looked at the xrays closely and saw that the roots were straight and I also studied the correct way that dentists extract teeth through videos online to be sure I didn’t break the roots off or harm my other teeth. Mine was also a premolar which is a relatively easy tooth to pull but I would not have tried this without knowing the roots were straight or for a full molarI’m all healed up and pain from that tooth is gone!

I’m really quite pleased with this purchase. I haven’t used the tools yet but I’ve used them enough to know what will be effective by looking at them. My only qualm is that I wish this product had a spring like mechanism for opening and closing the tartar forceps. Regardless, they are easy to use if you adjust your hand properly.The mirror tool to look inside the mouth is a bit cheaply made and may break inside the case due to a less ideal great case. This wouldn’t deter me from buying again though.
