It seems like we're always adding more things that need to be charged. So I got this to have some extra places for charging.Pros+ Power. The outlet works great for charging. It has a USB A which charges at regular speed. It also has a USB C which fast charges phones and tablets. And it's designed in such a way that you can have both USB's plugged in along with two things plugged into the outlet and everything works.+ GFCI. This is nice for the kitchen. Gives us a peace that the outlet won't short-circuit and start a fire.+ Installation. This outlet fits a bit snugly into the receptacle. But the installation was super easy. About as simple as a regular outlet.+ Color. This looks great on our black granite back-splash!

tamper resistant, gfci, usb a, and c!!! oh and the clamp style connection for all wires including the ground. very convenient to install, no loops to make. all connection except the ground will accept 2 wires. standard 20a receptacle that is maybe a tad bit deeper than a standard gfci one. the back is embossed with the wire strip length and connection locatons for line and load. it dsoes also indicate it is rated for use with alumnimum wire but do not do it. only use copper. both usb's will fast chanrge my pixel 7. note, my receptacle arrived in the tripped state. if after wiring up the front led is red you need to reset so it is green.

I have this outlet at the head of a circuit with multiple outlets in my basement, so it protects all of the outlets in a mostly dry environment. My first attempt at installing this circuit was with a leviton GFCI outlet, which never really worked well. Not only is this one stable, but it has a USB-A and USB-C socket for whatever devices you need to plug in for USB power (I have many.)It seems well built, fit nicely into a quad box with a single gang extender, was easy to wire in, and even included the face-plate. Installatoin was easy. Test and reset functions work well and the indicator LED is red if tripped and green normally, which is an improvement over the original which was off when tripped and lighted when normal. More info is better.At current pricing, these are relative bargain, especially in the two-pack. I see upgrades in my future...

Of course only time will tell the longevity of this unit (I did not dissect it to assess qualify of build and components) but so far, so good. Terminals on outlet were easy to install requiring only straight leads (no creating hooks on wire) but secured well by screws, not by spring clips. There is only a single ground connection so it this is the end of the circuit, not a problem, but if in the middle, you will need to create a single ground pigtail and allow for space for that wire nut in outlet box as well. As for outlet box, it claims this is a less deep outlet than some and that may be true but it still requires a very deep box and the plastic outlet box that I had, though deep enough, had some "fins" inside that I had to cut back as they prevented the outlet from being able to be fully inserted. Optimally check your box carefully with just the outlet and no wires, make sure it fits, has room for the wires and wire nuts, and that the screws thread in cleanly. THEN remove the outlet, add the wires and then re-screw the outlet in place.As for the USB ports, do not expect this to charge your laptop or fast-charge your phone. These are 5V/4.8A outlets so are great for overnight charge of your phone or for running your tablet if low on battery or recharging and electric razor or toothbrush that requires USB (I installed it in a bathroom and that or kitchen is probably the perfect use for this). It will not effectively charge a laptop or even a 3-in-1 charger for your phone/watch/AirPods.
