Like others I found connecting the wires a little inconvenient. If you have large gauge wiring it will be necessary to completely remove the screws, wrap the wire around them and then screw in again. After that it just works - until it doesn't. I went 18 months until the until just stopped switching the lights on and off. Thinking o had a lighting short I be reset the system with the button but no change. It was also no longer on WiFi even though the blue light was on. Pressing the on-off buttons on the front also did not work. Eventually the WiFi light started turning off after about a minute. I tried disconnecting my lighting and no difference. I have only ever used one circuit with a modest number of low wattage LED lights and the unit was mounted inside the garage so not exposed to the elements.I'm going to contact their support and see if they want to do anything but given we are at 18 months I sincerely didn't that. We'll see.

I got this to replace an old Malibu transformer. The setup was really easy, as I already have the Smartlife app and am familiar with it. The app recognized the new equipment, and then I set the start and stop times. You can use astronomical time to auto-adjust the start/stop times automatically as seasons change, but I chose not to. That function is in the app itself and NOT part of this device. Another reviewer explains how to set it up. It was the right price, and works flawlessly.

Wifi connectivity very intermittent. I wired up all of my low voltage lighting to this unit and the manual switches work fine, but the wifi connectivity to continually fails in both smart things and in Google Home. I have used smart things for years and have never seen this behavior. I also attempted to find the manufacturer to get product support and could not find a phone number or even a contact form. Very disappointed in this product and the lack of any form of support.

This product is working fine for me, including the wifi interface. I think it was a very good value, and so far it is doing exactly what I want, providing low voltage for my outdoor lights as well as wifi remote control and scheduling. The headline of the description is somewhat misleading, "Schedule and Timer" are part of the phone app, not part of the device itself. Not surprisingly, the wifi setup is the most error-prone. The provided instructions are detailed, but still incomplete. The missing point (at least for Android) is that you must give the setup app permission to access nearby Bluetooth devices. Otherwise it just keeps failing because it uses Bluetooth to set up the wifi. In fact I'd say it is best to ignore the provided documentation for the setup app. Instead just download the app from the Play or iPhone store and follow the instructions in the app. There is a message about permissions but it is easy to miss if you're trying to follow the printed instructions. Just do that and follow the pairing dialog in the app, and you'll be connected pretty fast. The other point, which they do document pretty well, is that the device requires a 2.4gHz network. Good luck.

I don't think there are any others on Amazon tbh... but fortunately this one is pretty solid. The UI for controlling the zones from my phone is really simple, and the ability to time each of the zones independently and with multiple timers is great. The connectivity is really good, and the setup time is fast. My two complaints:1. I wish the terminals for each zone were bigger. I'm running 12/2 low voltage wire, and it is really hard to fit, especially when you have more than one wire coming to one terminal (I had 3 or 4). I ended up getting a water proof junction box with a cover, and ran all my wires to it, made the connections there, and then had two wires coming out (one for zone 1, one for zone 2).2. I wish there were options for higher wattage. I got the 200w option, but we have a ton of landscape lights, and I'm already close to that. I may have to purchase a second transformer... which would not be awful as it would give me 2 additional zones.I've had this transformer for close to a year, and it has worked flawlessly. A+

I bought two of these and they were a good value and easy to start. However after only 6 months one of them just died and does not turn on. Surprisingly enough the one that's out exposed to elements is working, but the one that's inside the garage is the one that died.Updated: reached out to support and they responded promptly and issued a replacement.

All of our other household "smart" lights and outlets are controlled via the Smart Life app, which is surprisingly configurable, and scheduled (using time offsets from sunset and sunrise) using its scenes so finding a low voltage transformer that integrated with Smart Life, rather than requiring its own crappy custom app, was the #1 requirement for me.The transformer's two zones are a nice feature since it allows setting different schedules for each one.I've been using the product for a couple weeks now. It's been set-it-and-forget-it, just as I'd hoped. Thumbs up from me.Important things to know:1. There's no light sensor built-in so you must rely on pressing the on/off buttons manually or using an app on your phone.2. You MUST connect using 2.4GHz Wifi (as is the case for most reasonably priced "smart" bulbs and outlets). What I did is disabled my 5GHz Wifi signal on my router, connected my phone to 2.4GHz, then connected the Smart Life app to the transformer. Once everything was working I enabled 5GHz again on the router and connected my phone back to that.
