This snorkel is total junk. It's 12-15 dollars cheaper than a name brand. The 1-way valve doesn't work 100% of the time, which means when you go to use the purge valve (exhale and push water out from diving) it doesn't seal back up causing you to get a mouth full of water when you take a breath.I have 15 years of experience and hold my diving cert if that matters. Spend the extra money.I bought this as a back up for my kids and it is total garbage.

I use it 3-4 times swimming in a lap pool. This snorkel lasts about two years before the valves start leaking..

Works just right for surface snorkeling.Easy travel disassembled.Tip 1. Lube when putting parts together, use a little soap.This also helps to adjust the angle to fit your head and mask.Tip 2 . Breathe slowly andTip 3. Test submerged in shallow water first.Very nice product... I've been using snorkles for 30 years.Recommend.

These were bought (x2) for children (tenagers) to do their PADI Open Water certification.After 1 use, unit 1 pipe completely sealed up not allowing any air in / out. Was not one of the components, the actual plastic sealed up (even 20 year dive Master's mentioned they had never seen the before).Unit 2 simply was always leaking, and letting water in via the joints.1 crazy manufacturer defect = ok = freak accident / understandable.But TWO (2) ???The images on product page are misleading, as it comes disabled in pieces, and good snorkels are always 1 piece.Don't risk you vacation / diving class / LIFE on these things.Spend the money, and buy reputable brand, which I did from the dive school, for twice the cost of these.@AMAZON = please pull thse from the store = they could hurt / kill someone.Signed: a PADI dive Master....
