I purchased these not to use as the manufacturer intended - as fasteners, but as paint mixers. My current hobby is airbrushing. Most of my paint comes in 2 ounce bottles. As with most paints, there is material that settles to the bottom of the container. Most paint containers can be opened and the contents mixed via various means. Not so with the bottles which have an opening less than 1/2 inch across. Enter Marine Grade nuts. 2 nuts in a bottle make superb agitators. Disclaimer: Most of the bottles come factory equipped with a small BB inside as an agitator. However, after a while, that BB becomes stuck in the "mud" in the bottom of the bottle - Especially with the metallic paints. The nuts are larger and heavier and are easily dislodged from the sediment. Marine Grade SS is used to prevent corrosion (rust) that can occur with lower grades such as 306 Stainless. Please note that it was necessary to give these a Complete washing before use. A 20/80 mixture of Dawn and Windex was used, then well rinsed in HOT water ...... all of this to remove oils remaining from the manufacturing process. Lastly, the qulaity is A-1 There were no loose metal shards, or metal shavings that were still attached. The threads are extremely clean cut.

Fast delivery. Quality appears to be as good as Marine. Installed them with 1-2” bolt on boat trailer bunk. No issues.

Replaced some galvanized hardware that had rusted so badly I had to split the nuts and bolts with a cutoff wheel in my moto-tool. These nuts will never rust.
