The nut is used to hold the drive wheel onto the differential. The original nut lost the nylon lock part and fell off. The hole in the original drive wheel was worn badly and would not stay aligned with the key.

They name it hard to find and buying in bulk is a bit less expensive than buying locally. Bought because of ease of purchase, convenience and total cost / value.

When using this product, if using an impact, the correct impact socket to use is the 15/16, NOT the one inch. If your not careful, you will strip everything out and have to purchase new equipment.
