These belts were purchased to replace the original belts that had melted. These worked perfectly and brought the CD player back to perfect working condition.

Carousel stopped turning out of the blue on my 30 year old CD player….I was like this cannot be?! Pulled the top cover off and gently eased open the back plate of the player not to overstretch the cables or damage the pin connectors. The carousel belt had fallen off. Tired to reinstall and it immediately slipped off when I powered the CD player back up and tried selecting a different disc (before putting the top cover and back plate into position). These belts were a perfect replacement fit. Replaced the carousel belt and the other belt that is responsible for loading the CD into the player since I was already in there. One belt left over which is for the door drive. The old belts were stretched out when compared to the new ones. A happy customer. Thank you!

Belts are cheap. CDs are dead tech. Why even bother to fix my old Sony? Guess I'm old school and the cost of this "experiment" was minimal. I replaced the two main drive belts easy enough. On line videos will show you how simple they are to access and, for the most part, replace. The door belt is not so simple and there wasn't much on line I could find to show the best/easiest way to access it. Doing so requires detaching several wire harnesses, moving the main circuit board, out of the way, removing the plastic shroud from above the carousel, and removing the carousel from the unit. Once done, the door belt is a piece of cake to change out. With all three new belts installed, the unit works great. Many online resources mention the same. Change the belts and most any problem you're having will likely go away. Now my 400 CD changer is back on the stereo rack collecting dust. But at least I can use it if/when I want. Now . . . on to fixing my 45 year old turn table so I can think about maybe sorta using it sometime again!!

I had an old Sony CD changer that was in perfect shape, but it was not able to properly move the turntable inside the box. After a but of research, I found these belts. My rating is 5-star on easy to install, but I would say that is only for those comfortable with working on electronics. If you are not sure what you are doing, solicit the help of a friend who is more comfortable with electronics. The entire fix took less than 20 minutes and the belts worked perfectly. There are 3 belts in the package. One is smaller than the other two, and my Sony only required 2 belts, so I had to experiment a little. The Sony works like it is new again.

These belts are not as heavy as the Sony OEM Belts that I replaced, but they are not as expensive either. They will likely last a very long time

Was ready to send it to the recyclers but thanks to the web, found the problem and the replacements. These are a little thinner than the originals but they work! A pair of long locking tweezers made the job easy.

I was so bummed when I couldn't use my CD player anymore. I've had it for a long time and suddenly it just wouldn't open the door just spinned none stop. I was about to toss it out and buy another one. After browsing through some available, this product popped up. I searched it on the net and found out it is common for my cd player. This made my day! My CD player is working like new again and I'm a happy woman!Simple fix, not to pricey, seem to be good quality compared to the factory ones that got broken. It was a challenge to install them without getting the gear grease on them, but it is worth the small hassle.

I have a Sony 400 Disc Changer, purchased almost 14 years ago. I have a substantial CD collection, and while we listen to other media sources most of the time, it still gets used, especially around the holidays. When it failed to switch discs one day, I opened it up to do a little investigating. That's when I discovered one of the belts had broken. There are no local electronics techs in my area, and no one, including Sony, are making multi-disc players anymore. After performing a search on YouTube, I saw that it was a simple fix. So, I looked to Amazon to see if they offered the belts. Two days later, the belts arrived, and an hour or so after that, my 14 year old changer is running like new! Thanks Amazon...
