...and I am so glad I filled 3 of these containers! These allowed me to have coffee and a cooked meal throughout the incident. I always filter any water that goes into storage, the the crystal clear bags let me assess what I choose to allocate the water for. Yes, the first thing, after flushing, and a shower, was to refill the water containers! It was a good time to assess my preps for blissfulness and work-ability. I might add, the bags are easy to transport, i.e., not heavy.

After looking for cooling mats, and realizing most were simply bags filled with cold water, I tested with my water bottle (you know, those old-fashioned red ones that you fill with water) to see if this idea would work. I filled the water bottle with water, froze it, then set it out, wrapped once in a towel, for my cat. He hates being indoors, but I Know in Florida as a medium-haired cat he's got to be hot, even on the shaded patio. Sure enough, after a couple days, he gravitated towards the frozen bottle. But, I needed something that would last longer. That started my search for the product I'm reviewing. And they work Marvelously for keeping Monkey cool. The good:Massive capacityEasy to fillEasy to transportFreezer-friendlyMulti-packCostThe bad:CondensationSmall cracks in the plastic from being frozen in shape, then movedSo-so:I still can't tell if it's condensation or a faulty lid. The majority of the condensation occurs at the spout, so I'm suspicious of the lid. However, for less than $12, I now have a cooling option for my cat, and he seems to very much enjoy it. He's usually on the cot (I stole it from the dogs since they're too posh to use it) with his back or tail resting against the frozen bag.Whether it will continue to stand up to massive use (I've used each bag 8 times so far) remains to be seen. The small cracks I see in the plastic are superficial, thus far. They're a product of that section of the bag being frozen, but with only a small layer of ice resulting. When I lift the bag from the freezer, those spots tend to break, which causes extra stress on the plastic, potentially breaking it in those sections. I've tried my best to eliminate the water in those sections by getting all the air out, but there is always a very thin layer of water, and that will always freeze. It's not perfect, but it's working. Especially when Monkey is smart enough to go Under the cot. If he goes beneath the bag, then the cold air is falling and acts like an air conditioner. I've learned that, if I go camping in the future I will have these bags with me for the cooling effect alone. It's a 6º difference or so beneath the cot, and more if butted right up against the bag.

I have purchased these collapsible containers for liquid several times and, for me, they are perfect and easy/comfortable to use. I use them to transport water for the homeless cats, chickens and ducks that live in the back of where I work. I like to make sure they have fresh water available since the hot weather in south Florida is no joke. They are very durable but sometimes I need to replace them if they become punctured, etc. These are also great to have for hurricane preparedness and don’t take up much space. I highly recommend this product.

This product arrived in a plain cellophane bag with no label or manufacturer information, and the product itself lacks any symbol or code to confirm that it is FDA approved. Nor can we find any information about the manufacturer, Supant, online. We are not convinced that it really is food safe, despite the claims on the Amazon listing for the product.

As others have stated these are very durable. They save me a lot of time from filtering city water every day. I opted for these because they flatten down as opposed to the more rigid ones because of the stress areas from folding. They fold completely flat. The handle is very sturdy, I know it will last a while, probably years if you take care of it. I soaked it in white vinegar and water overnight and there was no leftover plastic taste. Granted, it is plastic to there will be some micro plastics in your water if you store it in these but I dont think its much. I'm using it with my Sawyer filter. No it is not compatible with the threads of the sawyer brand filter or probably any others. Way to wide for that. But I hang it and let the hose fall into the bag it works just fine. I keep a few empty ones in my car in case of an emergency I can use them as dirty water filtration reservoirs. Many people ask if these will hold gasoline. Please just dont do that.
