Used it twice and the attachment for the hose connection broke off. Needs more reinforcement. Can't use it anymore.

I purchased this vacuum to replace an older one I had that broke. In all fairness, it does say it is a LEAF vacuum. Having said that, it does pick up leaves. My problem is my next door neighbor has a massive, hulking oak tree that hangs over my pool and yard, (I call Satan's Helper) and makes my life a living hell. This tree literally takes away about a cumulative month of my life each year cleaning up leaves and debris it dumps in my pool and yard. Every time it rains or is windy my pool is full of not only leaves but dirt which settles on the bottom. This vacuum is larger than the one I was replacing so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the fabric weave of the bag is to large to trap the dirt and it passes right through. At first I tried pantyhose but that was a failure because it was sloppy and too difficult to keep it on. I was able to salvage the bag from my old vacuum and attach it to this one and that worked. The only problem is it is difficult to keep flat on the bottom of the pool because of the water pressure trying to lift it up because of the smaller holes in the mesh bag I am using. It does get the job done though.

Saved me time in getting large clumps of water logged leaves off the bottom of the pool. Rigged up a fitting from my pool pump inlet to a water hose, instead of using the water faucet that could not supply enough flow and added more water to the pool needlessly and with the inlet hook up I can adjust the cleaning effectiveness better than wasting more incoming water from the faucet. Manufacturer needs to offer a hookup to adapt to the incoming circulated water instead of using the faucet water.

I had a massive amount of leaves in my pool which caused a major clog in my line from the pool to the pump. After having the clog removed professionally it was suggested that I get a Leaf Vacuum. After comparing Amazon Reviews I decided on the Sunsolar Leaf Filter. It was easy to install and operate. I had my leaves cleaned up in no time. The leaves go to the bag...not the pump! I am totally pleased.

Very pleased with this. I have 18’ above ground pool and dreaded hauling out conventional pool vacuum and enduring the aggravation that entailed (heavy hoses, getting vacuum started, etc). This gadget could not be easier to use: just tie on provided bag, attach your own hose and pole, turn on the water and hey presto it pulls up the debris into the bag. Cleanup is simple too: dump out bag and you are done. It does take some finessing to keep the thing adhering to bottom of pool but once you get going it works very well. Money well spent.

Performed better than expected. Took out small twigs and all leaves. Much better than using the pool pump vacuum hose.

The suction depends on the water pressure and so if you have great water the suction will be great; if not …. This is a necessity for leaves and debris. In So. Cal we have had winds and storms all winter and this works the best when removing leaves and debris. We have a service company and Pool Tech uses this to clean pools.

When my pool was installed in '79, one of these was included. It finally got brittle and died! This one is virtually identical to the original, with the exception of the brushes. I have to admit, the brushes improve the efficiency of the unit. That said, in my opinion, they are not for all pools. I can see how well they would work on a fiberglass pool or a liner pool, but on a gunite pool, with a rougher surface, the effort to scoot it around is easily doubled. Again, in my opinion, the brushes should come unattached, with a tube of glue, and instructions and a warning, so you can make the choice. Also, this unit suffers from the same problem the original one did. The leading edge wants to lift up, and you find yourself constantly pushing the trailing edge down to force the unit to sit flat on the bottom of the pool. Years ago, I came up with a solution that I know will be very difficult for most people to duplicate. I work with metal a lot and happened to have a chunk of stainless I could attach to the front to weight it down, and it works very well. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it.So, if this one lasts as long as the original, and me being 78, I won't be buying the next one!

This is an ingenious product that works surprisingly well in keeping your pool clean without sucking all the debris through your pool filter. Easy to use and saves $$$$ on pool crawlers. Not something you'll ever find in a pool store. Highly recommend.

The bag keeps falling over while in the water so blocks anything from going into the bag. I’ll try attaching a pool noodle on it or something... only problem i had was the bag. :)

I have an Intek vac that works pretty good, but it takes a little longer. With all the trees in my yard my pool can get overwhelmed quick. this takes me about 15 minutes to get all the leaves out of my 20' AGP. I paired mine with one of the light weight self draining pocket hoses and couldn't be happier. When I am finished I let the water drain from the hose while emptying the bag, then I just store the pocket hose in the leaf bag.It does better for me pulling it towards me, you have to go real slow pushing it or the front will come up. Good water presure and slow deliberate movements works best.

Works better than i expected. Picks up leaves easily but needs the optional close weave bag to effectively remove sand. The bag is easy to remove and dump and easy to secure to the vacuum just be sure to cinch it up tight. A nice plus is when you need to add a little water you can kill that bird while picking up the leaves. I actually like that. It's easy to maneuver and lightweight but has no problem staying in contact with the pool bottom. It's easiest to let it settle itself rather than trying to force it. I takes me maybe 30 minutes to clean leaves and twigs from my 18x36 vinyl pool. Use a quality hose and open the water faucet fully and it works like a charm.
