Followed all the instructions. Kept the zipper away from animals and still it broke within 3 weeks. Started breaking at the 2 week mark and completely stopped zippering at the 3 week mark. Ridiculous. Waste of money.

A screen like this is an absolute must-have if you’re introducing a new cats to a resident cat. Total game changer in the acclimation process. The screen: truly sturdy material, including the zipper.I didn’t use the sticky velcro strips because I thought it would damage the paint on the door frame too much, and probably wouldn’t hold up well under the efforts of a very determined prisoner. Instead, I used a light-duty staple gun. (It only cost $15 and it’s such a useful thing to have around anyway.)I wrapped the top edge over the top of the door trim for maximum resistance to pulling, and stapled the sides to the inside of the door frame, parallel to the direction a cat would be pushing on the screen, also for maximum hold against force outward. (Attaching to the outside of the trim would have been a bit better, but it wasn’t accessible with the staple gun.)I solved the issue of securing the bottom edge by wrapping it around a tension rod, and securing that with very small zip ties every couple of inches, threaded through the screen itself. (Be sure to trim the zip ties if you have a cat who chews plastic.) I held the rod down at each end with a couple of small nails driven into the walls on either side of the door frame. Finally, I added a couple more small modifications for comfort and convenience. One, metal shower curtain rings attached to all four zipper pulls to make them easier to grab, and also so I wouldn’t keep grating my knuckles on the zipper. And two, a strip of velcro slipped under the ‘hinged’ edge of the door, to easily fasten the rolled-open door when I want to keep it open. The hardest part of the project was deciding how and where I would fasten the screen to the doorway, and figuring out what size I would need. I knew I wanted to attach the screen to a surface that was parallel to the force of a cat pushing on the screen, not perpendicular to it, hence the inside outside of the door trim instead of the face of the trim.I had two inches longer than the door height to work with to wrap around the top trim and the tension rod, and it was doable, but just barely. Three or four inches would have been better. For the sides, the standard extra inch of width on each side of the door was just right for fastening to the inside of the door frame, but if you wanted to wrap it around to the outside, you’d need to take that extra width into account when choosing your door size.

I was super worried about how this would be. I love it. It was super easy to install and it's very sturdy. The adhesive is super strong, the tacks hold it even better, and it fits my door perfectly. It looks good on my door and keeps my cats in and bugs out. My only complaint is opening it and keeping it open. Since it's on my front door, I keep the screen rolled up until I decide to keep the door open. It's a little awkward to roll up. Getting through the screen is awkward, I usually end up partially opening it and awkwardly stepping through. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. It works great and it's worth the awkwardness.

Screen is thick, durable, and completely made very well. If you have a calm cat no problem at all. We also have a crazy, curious, won’t stop at nothing to investigate and won’t stop until it conquers. That was the cat that managed to escape every time from every corner.. too and bottom, and all straight edges. To keep them separated worked great for the most part. Very durable and could handle the crazy cat scaling it and everything. We were very entertained watching this over a few days total. So if you have a kitten and calm older cat this should be no problem and will work great… if you have a cat that is curious about everything and has the focus to investigate no matter what this is not for you.We love the quality and idea. But jester the cat was not having it. 🤣🤣

lo use para separar a dos gatitos y que se puedan ir conociendo, el material me impresiono porque es de muy buena calidad y ademas la cinta para pegar agarra muy bien, por lo que asegura que el gatito no se pueda atraveas, la solución a mis problemas de presentación

I was pleasantly surprised at how quick, easy and straightforward the installation process was. It took between 5 and 10 minutes, was a one man job, easy clean-up; and after being off to such a great start, I was bummed to see that in no less than 24 hours, the seams on the zippers began to fray and unravel, and after 3 or 4 zips, the zipper was completely detached from the mesh which left a perfect ‘cat-sized’ hole which allowed my cat to pass through with relative ease. — Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this for a long term solution, or in a high volume area where people are passing through and needing to zip and un-zip, because it’s not made for heavy duty use. This is more of a temporary solution, or something that you have on-hand just because ‘you never know when it might come in handy’, like at the entrance of the kitchen when preparing for Thanksgiving, or while setting up a Christmas tree. — And again, the setup and overall first impression will be so nice. You’ll see how perfectly it fits the door frame, and how the tape has a grip like that of a thousand men, and I’m sure that you’ll doubt me. You’ll maybe even laugh even and say ‘Behold! This barrier is strong, and thou art a fool.’ You’ll think ‘why didn’t I think of this sooner?’ Or ‘You know what? Maybe the black actually would look good in here.’ (I know because, I was you. I too had high hopes.) — it’s honestly just not built to put up a good fight against cats, it has a ton of practical uses and will come in handy in a lot of situations, but if you’re looking for an affective barrier against cats or small pets, maybe consider other options.
