As these things go I have used less effective removers. One thing is that it is barely water soluble, the whole soap and water cleanup is a joke. The second thing is it takes hours to remove even several layers of ( oil based paint) if I hadn’t scraped off some of the (15 year old latex paint) the product would have been even less effective. I was determined from the start to stick with it and after a lot of applications and a lot of effort the job was done. Let me say one thing about the smell, it wasn’t horrible but it did build up after days of work. Doors and windows open are the best policy. After all that I give it 2 1/2 stars rating

This is basically a paste type paint stripper. It doesn't work fast and it doesn't work well on acrylic, which is what I wanted it for. It's probably fine otherwise.

This product really works. The smell in the beginning is light but after a while it gets a little bit stronger. I recommend you open your windows. But overall, this product works.

I was quoted $8000 to remove paint from the brick on my house. I bought scaffolding for $700. I bought approximately $400 worth of this product. I generously plastered this paint remover on my wall and covered it with large pieces of plastic sheathing (contractor grade plastic bag will do!) I left it on for atleast 4 hours. I used a paint scraper and the paint peeled right off. I then power washed the brick. Pointed the areas that needed pointing and sealed the brick.Through trial and error I realized that I had to leave the product on longer. I also had to cover the paint thinner to prevent it from drying out.The house looked so beautiful when I was done! This is my go to paint thinner

The product works well, but came poorly packaged. As can be seen in picture, the lid came off during shipping and stripper came out! It could have been a disaster if packed with other stuff or was left to soak through longer. Luckily, product doesn't seem as corrosive as other strippers and we were able to wash tub off with water and didn't lose too much as waste. We live at 5500 ft and I don't know if the altitude change was the cause or what. Our first order of product came with tape holding lid down, so maybe this should be standard.

I screwed up putting in a bed liner, nor sure how as I thought I was being careful, and it developed cracks right away. So I decided that it really needed to come out, be prepped properly, and reinstalled. I did some research on how to do this job and one piece of advice from somebody who tried is don't bother. I tried media blasting, a heat gun, an angle grinder, and finally this stuff. Saving the painful details, multi-strip ended up working by far the best for the heavy lifting on this job, although I will do a quick media blast job before reinstalling the liner out of an abundance of caution. I applied a thick coat, covered it with plastic, waited 24 hours, and then was able to scrape and wire brush the surface down to bare metal relatively easily. I can't imagine that there are many paint removal jobs more demanding than this one, and it worked well. To be clear, I had a gallon of a thick viscous fluid and brushed it on. Some reviews mention a spray, and this definitely couldn't have been sprayed. I did wear a respirator and one gallon would probably cover about 40 ft^2 for my application.

This does what it says it does. That being said it has pros and cons.Pros are that it works well in stripping multiple layers of old paint, including paint that contains lead. I selected this product in searching for a dust free solution to remove 12-15 layers of 100+ year old paint from this door and frame as safely as possible and it did get the job done. It did not create a sticky mess as did other paint strippers and it does clean up with water. You DO have to CLOSELY follow directions. This result required two THICK coats over two days with a partial removal in between. I used a stiff putty knife and a multi blade paint scraper to get it off.The cons - it took a LOT of work - about 12 man hours total to get this result. Granted there is a lot of detail inlaid trim that required extra attention, but it still required a lot of scraping. It was NOT as easy as the description made it seem. Also, because it is water based and it contains acid, no matter how careful I was it resulted in damage to the wood; there were tons of peelings and splinterings and curlings as a result of the softening the product caused so be careful how you use it. Also I would advise covering each application with taped plastic to hold moisture in to prevent evaporation; it dispersed into the air quickly which caused me to use more than I would have liked. I used 2/3 of a gallon just on this one door, making this an expensive option for extensive projects. I need to strip about 100 sq ft of trim in the same room and due to the cost I will not likely be using this product considering the cost and man hour factors. I can accomplish the same results with a paint removing heat gun for far less cost and time in good ventilation and still have a heat gun when I am done.Over all, I can give it 4 stars because it does do what it claims but I have to withhold a star because it is just too time and money consuming for the end result.
