So when I ordered these eggs I thought they were gonna be around the size of a pigeon size egg.I have bantam and regular sized hens so I hoping to trick them, sadly will not be happening.

This product really looks like an egg and the chickens love it. I had several chickens sit on them while in the chicken nest.

These eggs have a low sheen medium brown paint color. The shape, looks, and feels real. Hard to tell the difference as they look exactly like the eggs laid by my Black Australorps and Heritage Rhode Island Reds.My 20 week old chickens are at the age to begin laying. When I received these fake eggs, I built nests in the nesting boxes and laid one in the middle of each. These nests were perfect. In 2 days, I found the nesting material scattered in their coop and one fake egg covered in pooh. I remade their nests with fresh nesting material from Carolina Coops and again sat 1 fake egg in each. The next day part of the nesting material was in the coop again. This time I was able to retrieve the clump and put it back into the nesting box. After a week, they left their nests alone. Then one day, I finally found a real chicken egg resting next to the fake egg. (Sorry no pixs as I couldn't wait to have for breakfast). These eggs are perfect. They don't break, they look real, and the chickens can't destroy them. I cannot say whether or not these fake eggs are washable. I am waiting for the poop covered egg to fully dry (damp weather) to see if I can brush off the pooh before attempting to wash off. If paint comes off, will update.

Our chickens weren’t laying in the nesting boxes so we put these in there and now they’re laying in the nesting boxes

This worked wonders and the hens are finally laying in the boxes. It's hard to actually tell the difference, so I'd suggest maybe a mark on one end. They are more shiny though.

They are too big and too shiny to fool the chickens. My chickens refused their nesting box to get away from them. Eggs all over the coop floor. Maybe they do something for some other purpose.

The only reason I give 4 stars is because both eggs came with some paint chipped off. If it wasn't for that, they do look like real eggs and serve their purpose.
