I needed to repair an air hose with a cut in it, and this is a great solution for adding another attachment point after cutting the hose. Square the end of your hose, insert the barb, and tighten the clamp. The threaded attachment comes with thread sealer already attached and I didn't need to use teflon tape to create an airtight seal.Nice economical solution to fix a hose, without leaks. And now I have an extra barb should I need to repair another hose.
