We like the built in storage and it looks good on our patio,The only negative thing was the delivery,It took several weeks longer than expected for the delivery, (was supposed to be July 29th, ended up getting it August 3rd),As we didn’t know when it was going to be delivered, we weren’t home and the truck didn’t leave it, we had to drive across town to the trucking depot to pick it up,Otherwise we are very happy with the product

These clicked together in minutes. I also bought the chairs, they make a very pretty patio set with loads of storage. They are really robust and would definitely recommend.

Update 7.28.22 - after several recent summer storms, I can honestly say these are water proof! Last 2 pictures are after multiple downpours today & the cushion inside is dry as a bone! Definitely happy with this purchase.I was looking for storage seating for my deck so that I had quick & easily accessible storage for my folding camp chairs, while also having additional seating. After reading all of the reviews and contemplating for a couple of weeks because of the negative ones, I decided to buy 2. I put them together by myself - arthritis & all - and had them both done in about an hour. No tools needed, as they do snap together - easily when you have them lined up & going in the right direction. They look great & are comfortable, even without cushions, so I decided to buy 2 more. I like the fact that there's seating for 8 & still enough room in the deck for more chairs & a table. I'm not reviewing them for weatherproofness, as I've only had them a few weeks & haven't had any major weather issues yet.

Bought as a gift for my hubby. Not super enthused with how it came with NO instructions & the edges were rough in a lot of areas like it wasn't properly cut when they were finishing it. After I read some other reviews & finally snapped it all together, it looks nice enough. It DOES get water in it as we had a hard rain a couple days after putting it on our BBQ deck-I had gotten the idea it was pretty tightly sealed from a lot of the reviews I read. It's not as if it flooded, however, it will make a difference in what we store in it. We do have a sunroom, but I bought it for him to be able to store all his BBQ things & also have an extra place to sit when either of us are cooking outside. It's very stable when we sit on it & easily sits 2 average size adults. I would assume 3 or 4 kids could fit on it depending on their size. Love the taupe color & we do have other Suncast items such as a cedar potting bench we bought a few months ago at a store. The potting bench is VERY well made which is another reason I went with Suncast over some of the other manufacturers of patio storage benches. I would recommend it, but I would say if you plan on putting it outside & you live in an area where you get a lot of rain, know that it will get some water on the inside-it isn't 100% sealed against rain. However, the price is good, it looks nice & serves the purpose of a storage place & a nice little bench you can rest on when you want. Ours only gets sun for a few hours out of the day & it hasn't gotten too warm to sit on, which is a question I saw someone ask. The only improvement would be some sort of instructions-not everyone knows which part to start with, etc.& instructions would have saved me a lot of time in trying to put it together.

Since we bought this patio bench in June 2009, it has held up to three kids, three moves, 36 seasonal changes, including two record-breaking winters of 81" and 110" of snow. During MA's Snowmageddon 2015, the bench was buried under almost 7 feet of snow. That's 2,190 days of weather and family ab/use. Our next-door neighbors were so impressed with our unit, they bought one for their family patio, too.The bench is easy to assemble right out of the box. No tools are required as all the pieces simply snap into place. That's an important feature to consider for outdoor equipment that is exposed to the elements year round - you won't have pieces that rust and discolor the unit, your deck or clothes, or the stored items. The top can be popped off for seasonal cleaning. We splash on some , scrub, hose down and air dry.Although we wrap mitts and other soft-textured items in large storage bags, the bench is remarkably waterproof. Even torrential downpours barely penetrate the casing with only nominal water in the honeycombed base. It's a solid piece of outdoor furniture, despite the snap-in-place construction, easily holding two adults without the top buckling. Summer heat hasn't caused any warping, either, while the light color prevents skin contact heat burns. This was a big-ticket purchase that has more than proved its worth. The Suncast Patio Bench is a good investment for your family's outdoor needs. Highly recommended.NOTE: Still using this patio bench as of June 2017!

Okay other than it took my neighbor and I about 30 minutes to put it together because the first 2 steps are just a tad hard to understand once you get past that it is a breeze to put together. Now its a whole snap together thing absolutely no tools are needed to put this together. So make sure you really get it snapped together otherwise when you sit on it, it will finish snapping and make you think you are falling lol but once it is all snapped together it is very sturdy. And we had a huge thunderstorm and after I went out to check the storage section and it was dry. I was very impressed by that. I absolutely love this.Updated 4-15-15 Okay adding a picture of my bench - for those that say it is cheap and flimsy not sure what world they come from but this is far from it. I am not a skinny girl by any means and I am able to sit on this bench and have no worries it is going to "crack" or "break" or "fall" and as far as it being in the elements it is rainy season where I live so it rains every day and it is outside on my uncovered patio (as you can see) and in the sun all day long (when it isn't raining) and it is holding up just fine. So for those that read the low reviews about these things - make sure to read all the good reviews too.

This bench was somewhat easy to assemble for 2 retired ladies and has a nice look on our deck. Storage is great!
