The only reason i am reordering this is because some punk ripped the old one from my windshield. I watch my neighbor's car for him and this is a life saver. I don't have to start the car or drive it all the time... I just go out once a week and wipe off the panel. It has worked for over 3 years and that works for ME!

The box came with evidence of previously opened and the item also showed that it was previously handled and placed back into the box. Not sure if this even works as there is no indication that it is charging.

I got this for a pick-up that isnt driven very often and the battery has got dead several times, this unit does seem to work to keep the battery up but the suction cups that would attach the unit to a window are trash, The first day I installed it I went out to check it at the end of the day and found it laying on the seat upside down, the window is clean and the cups are clean but they dont hold more then a few minutes. Any suggestions it has to be in a window because of where it is parked??

These type of 12v battery chargers are pretty similar. They utilize a trickle charge (under 2 watts) to keep a battery charged when not in use. They will not revitalize an old battery, and a failing battery will not renew itself. They are best on a healthy battery and work to increase its useful life. They are particularly useful on smaller 12v batteries used in motorcycles, atv, lawn equipment and the like, but work on any 12v battery. What stands out about this unit over similar ones is the customer service. I had a unit fail after 8 months of use. I contacted the company via their email address (found in their manual) and had a response the same day. A new unit was shipped and received within days. A lengthy 12-month warranty period backed with immediate response and care. That is exceptional service.

I ordered this little 1.8w solar charger to replace the exact the same model I have to keep my generator battery charged. I like how well it worked but the reliability/longevity is concerning. I hope the second unit will last longer than first or else I will buy other brand next time.
