The instructions were confusing at first as to how far you must screw the bottom post into the ground because it indicates "at least thirty-one inches" and the "drill bit" itself is barely thirty-one inches. The online video indicates you should "drive the spira drill bit into the ground at least thirty-four inches". Again, impossible because it isn't that long to begin with. I ended up driving it into the ground as far as I thought was reasonable to leave enough above ground to put the base collar on before adding the other poles. It screwed into the ground easier than I anticipated. I had driven spiral ground anchors in on another project using a drill and found this to actually be easier. Once getting the spiral bottom post and base collar installed, I added two of the three center poles (I did not require the full available height) and the top pole with the rings on it and I was finished.
