I had tried several different products. This one is not only working great, but also not harmful to stress animals who drink water in my little pond.

These work, but the packaging is really horrible. From my experience it’s best to get a razor blade and go to town to extract them all at once in one *frustrating*session. Otherwise, you will find yourself dreading going for a new dunk when needed. I get them all out and put them in a ziploc to have them ready monthly. Other than that, keeps the skeeters from hatching and the frogs don't seem to mind them and are still able to have tadpoles grow.

Was raised in the era of burning coils of "Off" mosquito chemicals. Tons of Deet applied over the years. Not about to spend money on zappers or foggers, etc. These bt dunks kill the little blood sucking disease spreading vermin in the cradle. Very nice. I put them in our water feature, in the gutters in a little mesh bag tied to support bars, in the drip pans for our outdoor plants, and in the hot tub if it has to sit between cleaning and refilling. You can break them up some to use smaller bits in smaller places. They are a life saver. It allows me to sit outside. I am very allergic to the spit of these tiny, deadly, pests, esp. the saliva of the tiger mosquito. Welts, bloody sores that take forever to heal. So, when I say they are effective, I mean it. Keep them in something air tight so they do not get damp.

can't say enough good about these cheap, easy, wonderfully efficacious dunks. while my pool was under construction and turning green, these dunks saved me and my neighbors from hordes of mosquitos looking to settle down and birth thousands of lil biters.it's important to note that you should use one drink for every 10x10 area of your pool. we threw in 3-4 at a time and could see them work in real time. they don't stop mosquito larvae from hatching, but once they do, they're goners.dunks last about 4 weeks, but they turn from a dark rich brown color into a much lighter tan/beige as time goes on, and get increasingly harder to see. i've accidentally scooped up a few with fallen leaves, but they're so cheap it's no problem to throw another dunk in.they are completely non-toxic to humans (contain larvacide only) and you can handle them without gloves. you can swim while they're in the pool too! no odor, no mess. can't LOVE these things any more!

I should have thought of this years ago, so simple. Just leave a half dozen or so buckets half filled with water around places you don't want mosquitoes and keep a half to a quarter dunk in them and presto! no (or vastly reduced) mosquitoes.

We have many planting pots and birdbaths but I use them mainly in my planter trays where water will sit after watering or rain.I just put part of one in the tray and it does the job and doesn’t allow mosquito larvae to hatch. I also put a whole one in each of our 3 rain barrels too. I have to replace them frequently thru the summer because I don’t want to let mosquitos have a chance to grow. I use their water on my many plants. The price on this bulk purchase is way better than Lowes where we used to buy them in 6 packs. Less mosquitos is the best. They r sooo worth the purchase.

These are great for tanks. They last a week or so. Keep the mosquito larva down. Came a bit crumbled upon delivery. Just toss in your tank.

I have 2 turtle ponds in my backyard. I order these little donut things to keep the mosquitos away. Someone called the city on us. A neighbor we have had many issues with. He told the city my ponds were dirty and creating mosquitos. City came looked at the ponds and there were no mosquitos or mosquito larve in either pond. This stuff is amazing. Best of all it will not hurt fish or turtle. You drop one donut in monthly, I do it every two weeks, but directions say monthly. You can break them in half for places that have just a little standing water. These are safe for all Animals and they really do work. These kill the baby larve before they get to biting stage. If you have mosquitos it won't kill adult ones. These only kill larve so they do not get to the biting age.

I broke off a chunk of this stuff and weighed it under some rocks in the bird bath. After that, the birds wanted nothing to do with their water.I did add some to 5 gallon buckets on my property that had some water in them, and killed plenty of mosquitoes. This stuff seems to work, but I'm not sure it's entirely safe for plants or animals. The packaging these come in is a huge frustration and awful desig, making it difficult to use.

great product appeared to work straight away.Update:- 3/06/20 just finished this card of dunks, only use on a large Koi pond to maintain, all the aquatic bugs ( mozzies, black, fruit flies etc.... ) Again only use in the spring/summer here in the UK, very temperature dependant, but they certainly break up the life cycles, I bought an expensive U/V, professional light tube zapper, before finding these! The zapper has not been used for years? The downside is that the product only appears to be available in USA? So the price with shipping, has more than doubled? Why? This makes them prohibitive now. Looks like the Zapper will make a comeback!!!
