These are my go-to needles for a lot of my stitching. They are especially good if you are cross stitching in a pattern/method that sometimes leaves you making stitches in tight areas. These needles make it possible for me to stitch cross-country, or at least cross country in a limited area - I can stitch all of a color in one area of my work, and not worry that I'm boxing in empty spots that will be hard to stitch neatly later. The little ball at the end is incredibly helpful at stitching so you don't split previously stitched threads.Another great thing I've found about these needles is that they are very easy to thread without a needle threader. Even the size 28 has an eye that is open enough that I never have to use a threader and always get my floss in on the first try.My most recently finished project was over 10,000 stitches. I used the same needle for that entire project (and it had been used before for other projects), and am nearly halfway through another project of the same size with that same needle. It is not tarnished, not bent, and stitches just as well as it did when I started with it. And I have not once needed to use a needle threader. I know these needles are a lot more expensive than most other cross stitch needles, but if you feel like a ball tip would be helpful to you, and you are not prone to losing needles, this is a really good investment. I like to think about how many hours a tool will last when looking at the cost. A single needle has already lasted me at least 150 hours, and shows no signs of wear.

I guess I must stitch by feel more than I realized, but these are irritating any time you need to back the needle out of a hole in the fabric. These catch in the fabric SO FREQUENTLY. I sent them back.

This needle changed the game for me! I am fairly new to cross stitching and had seen several people rave about this needle so I figured I would give it a try. I was a little skeptical at first, but after using it one time I was a fan. If you’re a cross-stitcher at any level, this is a great tool to have in your inventory. It makes hitting the right spot for your stitch so much easier. I will be buying one in every size needle that I use.

This was my first time using ball-tip needles. I'm using them for cross stitch and they glide right into the hole, no snags, smooth stitching. I don't know how I ever stitched without these! Highly recommend.

These are my favorite needles - been stitching for over 50 years and prefer to stitch without a frame or hoop. On high count fabrics the ball tip makes it easy to stitch by lifting the warp or weft thread rather than accidentally stabbing through it making for a lot less fray. When stitching with a hoop it makes it very easy to bump into the next thread space again instead of accidentally going though or between threads. I’ve only had one needle ever bend on me and I’ve never had an issue threading even with up to 3 strands. My husband appreciates too because he has an uncanny ability to find lost sharps with his feet (or backside on the needles dropped in the couch LOL). They are a bit pricey and I lose more needles than I care to admit in spite of a large needle minder collection- the only improvement is some sort of homing signal to find them when I drop 😂.

I have bought these needles religiously every 4-6 months for the last year. I placed an order last week and it got lost in the mail. That's fine, it happens. Ordered again, it came in 2 days. Great. Except, BOTH of the NINE DOLLAR needles snapped within 2 minutes of using them! I have never ever had this happen with this brand before. I have used individual needles of this exact brand for 4 months straight without changing them out and they have never broke. All of a sudden they BOTH break in the same day after barely using them? No thanks, I'll find a different brand. Tried requesting my money back or a replacement item, but they refuse to do anything unless I can return the broken needles, which immediately got thrown in the trash because I have kids and pets that could get hurt. Disappointed.

I love this needle. A 28 size is really fine. I was breaking needle after needle , I decided to try this one. I am so glad that I tried this one. Also the eye is stronger than other needles. I can pull 6 threads thru and doesn’t bend or break. I hope this helps .

I read where someone mentioned having to file down the eye to be able to use it properly, I was hoping that didn't happen to me. I, unfortunately, encountered the same problem with one of the two needles. I could feel it every time I tried to pull the needle through, it would get snagged and feel rough pulling through, so I decided to swap to the second needle and it glides through each hole so effortlessly. I may have to file the other one to see if it helps but for the price of a single needle, you shouldn't have to do that, hence my 4-star rating. Other than that these needles have made my life so much easier and I don't have to worry about stabbing myself constantly or piercing my fabric on accident.
