5 Stars for quality of product - This is the first shortblock (YMMV) I've seen that had matched piston specs (BB / BB), which was a plus. When I got the engine all assembled, it fired right up, no issues. I have now put on north of 30,000 miles with no issues since the installation. The only issue was shipping quality. The box was utterly destroyed, and when I say it was 1/2 in tact... the wooden mini-pallet was separated, and delivered on it's side. I was worried that the crank may have been out of round. Thankfully a dial indicator showed no wobble. Again, great engine, great seller. Shipping quality was the only issue.

I blew the engine in my 2009 Subaru Forester 2.5 Turbo XT and bought this block. It was installed by a local shop together with a new oil pump, water pump, timing belt, sprockets and tensioner. I am at about $4400 installed. So far so good. I have no idea what happened to the old motor. Oil was synthetic and had about $5000 miles on it. The service from the supplier was good and the delivery was as expected. If you buy pay attention to your VIN as there were a couple of motors in 2009.
