OEM part for a 2006 Subaru Baja. This is an often over-looked item on vehicles with higher miles. Best to replace the short black rubber hose at the same time. Scott

*update* the Baja has what appears to be 2 pcv valves, one however, is not a valve. It is a straight through fitting that looks like a pcv valve. The actual pcv valve is on the other end of the hose that connects to that fitting. Shipped quickly and looks nice but the description is incorrect. This does fit the 2003 Subaru Baja.

This fit and is working perfectly in my 2003 Impreza Outback Sport. There is some confusion with the PVC parts for 2002-2006 non-turbo Subarus because two valves are listed as correct but only one can be used. Part 11810AA040 is the valve that screws into the engine block with a hose (Subaru part 99071AB73B) attaching, then going to the other end, located on the intake manifold. To find out if your Subaru's PVC is118AA040 remove the upper hose connection and see if you can insert a toothpick (or similar small object longer than two inches) farther than half-way without coming to a sudden stop. The top portion, on the intake, for this valve is simply a hollow tube larger in diameter, to connect the valve found on the block with the hose to the intake manifold. When you are replacing the PVC valve also replace the hose, Subaru part 99071AB73B, because this hose can become brittle and break or crack when removing.
