HOW TO CALIBRATE THE TOOL
- Place the Stud finder against the wall (Stud /Metal mode)or air(AC mode) first.
- Press the Scan button(on the side of the tool) to start calibration this tool but do not move and try to scan at this moment, Wait for the reducing bars to disappear and the buzzer will beep one time and the calibration is completed.
- Then you can release the scan button and begin scanning.

Stud Scan Detection
There are three different depths of 0.5in, 1in, and 1.5in available in the stud mode, and it can locate the center and edges of wood and metal studs up to 38mm/1.50in deep. To minimize false positives, always start your scan in 0.5in Mode first.
Metal Scan Detection
It can precisely locate magnetic metal with a maximum depth of 60mm/2.36in.
Note: After you detect the center of an object. Please Use Metal Scan Mode to determine if the previous reading in the Stud scan was a wood stud, metal stud, or pipe.
AC Wire Detection
In this mode detect live, unshielded AC wires, electrical wires up to 2 inches (51 mm) deep.
Note: Wire Warning Detection works in ALL Modes including Stud/Metal Scan. The Wire Warning Icon will flash when live wires are detected.

Even though I had no clue how to use it, once I read the instructions I was successful. Great product. Only bad thing was that the battery that came with it was dead! But I had one on standby!

This seemed like a great product: it was well-built, seemed easy enough to use and came with a battery. When I used it, though, it told me where the center of the stud should have been, but it wasn't there when I drilled into it. Again, maybe it was just my inexperience with a stud finder, but I returned it immediately.
