Wonderful for jewelry - ties well & the knot can slip inside one of the beads so is not visible. Just enough stretch.

I like this product. It’s strong & easy to work with. 3 things to know:1. It’s VERY stretchy.2. I’ve a bit of arthritis in my right thumb. At times, it was a bit difficult to work with & most things I do ARE just a “challenge.” Writing this review was; I use my right thumb! lol3. It’s a fair price.

I have just ventured into my bracelet making era for the first time and saw this elastic recommended in a YouTube video. I have made five bracelets so far and it seems to hold up pretty well. Time and concerts will tell if it lasts and doesn’t break, but I’m confident in it so far! I bought 4mm beads to use on this and it is surprisingly easy to string the beads on it since it doesn’t collapse when trying to thread it through the beads like a softer material would. Tying the knots in it is also fairly easy and they seem to hold. I am using the gs hypo cement as a backup to holding the knots in place just in case too. If my bracelets fall apart once they are being worn, I will update, but as of now, I really like this product!

Uso muchas pulseras de elástico, y vivo en un clima caliente y húmedo. Veremos cuanto tiempo dura. Los que he usado anteriormente se secan muy pronto y se revientan las pulseras.

This elastic is durable and works wonderful for stringing beads on and then using crimp beads to hold them in place as well as one to close the toe ring. So many uses other than toe rings. I’m very pleased with this elastic cord.

I bought the 0.7 mm diameter stretch cord without checking to see how wide the holes in my beads were, but it turns out this was perfect. And you get so much of it! I won't have to buy it again for a long time.This is stiff enough that you don't need a needle, which is good, and it is very easy to use to quickly make stretch bracelets. In just 5 minutes, with a handful of gemstone rounds, you can have a finished piece. It is very easy to cut with scissors. To secure the ends of the bracelet, I tie a couple of knots and, just to be extra cautious, I put a dot of glue (several kinds will work) on the knot to hold it. You may want to avoid putting machine cut crystals or any beads with particularly sharp edges around the holes on this type of cord as the edges may cut into the cord over time. (Use Accuflex or memory wire to make bracelets with those types of beads, instead.)I used to use this product many years ago and I find that it holds up to at least several years of use, but that it does not last forever (whether the jewelry is worn every day or not). I accept that this is a property of all stretchy elastic type cords and, if a particularly favored bracelet gets a bit old, I do restring it. Polymers wear out over time, that's just the nature of them to do so. But this should get you several good years of use before you have to think about that.I find the 0.7 mm diameter cord to be sturdy enough to hold a whole bracelet's worth of gemstone beads, which are probably the heaviest beads I would ever use on this anyway. I have also used this to repair inexpensive commercial stretch bracelets that are not strung properly (it happens). Anyway, this spool will last me a very long time and this product appears to still have the same good quality of manufacture today that it did years ago.
