I made a portrait for the first time using this paper. See photo. I followed a tutor using cotton paper. She said to expect different results with different paper. All the watercolor artists urge you to buy expensive paper as a beginner. Well I think as a beginner you don't need to do that. Wait until you have some solid technique. I did not feel that this paper held me back at all. I just followed the instructor for this portrait. She didn't wet the paper ever. But sometimes we added paint before the previous layer dried. The paper did not dry too fast. I had no trouble with unwanted color lines that I couldn't blend out. I had no trouble with smudging previous layers. Frankly I had no issues with this paper. All the problems you see in the photo are just bad technique. Don't buy expensive paper as a beginner. Also I liked this paper better than Canson.

O papel é excelente para estudos com técnicas molhadas, mas o transporte amassou a capa (pouca importância) e o canto do bloco (neste caso, é péssimo)

It’s exactly what you’d find in an art supply store but a better price! I still have mine after a lot of multimedia art with glue, markers, beginner watercolor, and paint. It’s durable. Delivery was fast and the price can’t be beat.

I guess I didn't read the description properly and I was expecting a smaller booklet, maybe standard paper size. But this thing is HUGE! I'll be cutting these sheets into smaller sizes to make cards out of. But I think the value is really great for such large sheets of watercolour paper. I haven't tested the paper yet using my paints but it looks to be good quality. I will try to update this review once I test it out.

This paper was perfect for learning on. It's thick and absorbent and works great with the watercolor paints and brushes I purchased. Also reasonably priced.

This brand is a long time favorite of mind. I've use it for watercolor and after applying a primer for mixed media and pastels. The price was right for this paper and it was delivered quickly; but, It was put in a box lose with no other packing around it; so, I was very lucky the corners weren't damaged. The texture is medium and good for students and artists. I ordered the 140 lb.

I would go broke if I bought super premium paper all the time. This is such a nice middle of the road good quality paper. Great size, good absorption. I think this will be my go to paper and when I want to create a masterpiece I’ll pull out the fancy paper.

I buy a pad of watercolor paper and cut it to postcard sized pieces when practicing or playing around with watercolors. Cheaper brand papers don't handle water as well in my experience. I can't afford 100% cotton paper, which I've tried samples of, and this is not as good as that but still is an excellent surface.

Got this set of watercolor paper to make prints of my placenta after birth and they came out perfect! The paper feels sturdy and did not warp even with the medium being blood. Love that I get to have this keepsake now.
