i love the amount of paper that comes with this and this is a great size. however, I do find that some pages seem to have borders or back sides that don't absorb or hold water as well as other parts, so it ends up making some paintings look irregular. that might just be a me problem in one of my journals, I haven't gotten to all of them yet. i like the ease of being able to pull out the papers too if you wanted to. def doesn't behave like 100% cotton paper though

The paper weight, texture, it stays flat when wet, and the added perforation is a bonus! Love it! My new go to watercolor paper!

These books are excellent quality! The paper size is great for practice paintings etc but because they are perforated you can easily remove your successful paintings and make them into cards etc. I do tend to tape off the entire page if I'm doing a wet on wet because the way the pages in the book sit, you can too easily get paint on the pages underneath. Tape solves this and gives a nice border anyway! I've just reordered. I have very nice $$$ watercolor paper for projects but for practice and just messing about, these books are excellent!

I buy these pads for myself and now for my grandchildren to practice our watercolor techniques. The paper is very nice quality. We are just beginners so the small size and notebook format is perfect for us. The price is right too.

On Amazon, you can get three notebooks of 30 pages each for a little over $22. The paper is 5.5 X 8.5. I like the heft of the paper. It holds the water well when the paper is taped to a board. The paper does not distort, stands up to a good amount of blotting and rubbing, and displays the pigment well. I use these books with my adult students. I think these books are great for beginners to mid level watercolorists.

Saw these recommended by an artist on a TV demonstration recently . As I needed one, I ordered a pack of 3!! They are brilliant, and now have my friends ordering the as well. Excellent Quality , spiral bound and a good price. Well done.

I bought these (3pak) on the recommendation of a You Tuber. She’s been painting daily for 25 years and says she’s tried every paper out there. For the price, these are really good quality. Nice and heavy with the right amount of texture. I’m not sure what the paper consists of as far as cotton content , but the water absorbency is excellent. I do quite a bit of wet on wet and negative painting and it holds up just fine to multiple water applications. I even use both sides of the paper. Before I bought these I found that I had stacks of paintings, all different sizes stashed in different drawers. Some are of me trying a new technique or brush stroke drills. Now I can keep them, if I want to, in the tablets. If I want to trash them, that’s easy enough because the paper is perforated. I can date them on the front so I can look back and see the progress I’ve made. Also, they are nice for travel. The size isn’t as intimidating as a full size of expensive watercolor paper. So glad I took that You Tubers advise! I think they cost approximately $23 for 3 tablets.

I like this paper alot. Great value and quality. Not too textured - it's perfectly textured in my opinion. Great weight, slight warping - I would say low to moderate. No bleeding. My paints looked bold, bright and flowed nicely. Will get again.

I love these Watercolor pads by Artisto! I used one for World Watercolor Month 2024 and it held up great. It works for wet on wet, wet on dry, dry on dry, etc. Beautiful results. I would buy these again in bigger sizes if I could find them. I did the Christmas one last week and tore it out of the book and used it as the front of a Christmas Card. Very versatile paper pads, with a great thickness and texture.

I use these to practice watercolor technics and blending colors. Holds water well. When used for a watercolor project I tend to use heavy wet on wet technique and I’ve never had it bleed through. Since it stays in the spiral pad and I don’t stretch the paper, it does show a bit of buckling when completely dry but not enough to deter me from keeping it as a journal for my watercolor projects. It has a nice texture that gives character to my painting. It’s handy to carry with me. A good size that offers 30 pages (front and back). Great price. This is my 2nd time purchasing the bundle of 3. Hope it continues to be available.
