Product Description

Friends play tabletop RPG using a gridded surface, drawn in dry-erase marker

Master the Dungeon

Prince Darius falls, defeated by the adventurers in a flurry of fire and blade. Alberth wipes royal blood from a satchel of coins. "What's that behind his throne, then?" mutters Halfast. "Looks like a switch." With a pull of the lever, a secret passage opens into the Crypt of Elder-Kings. The corridor stretches on, and the adventure continues…

There used to be a time when all castles, temples, and cave networks were oddly square-shaped. Now with the Master's Atlas Reversible Dungeon tiles, your dungeon can take as many twists and turns as your story. Whether using the aged parchment face or a clean white grid, you can sketch out dungeon halls with dry or wet erase markers. The dungeon is yours. Master it.

Perfect if you don't have a lot of space for a full mat or you just want to prepare small chunks at a time for reveal. Wipe off easy enough

These help so much. You can reveal parts of a dungeon at a time, swap sides to different between overworld or indoor/underground. The little icons also help visualize stairs, doors, chests, etc.

This thing is rad as hell, you can make multilevel dungeons and building much faster and more visual than you can with a flat dry/wet erase dungeon map. The tokens that come with it are cool too, there are a good handful of them but you may run out before you finish the map. All in all though I will probably be buying more of these to make a mega dungeon, they are killer quality, and the lines line up well enough, smaller pieces would be nice but also you can find a work around for that.

Buy them. But them now. Buy all of them. These are absolutely fantastic, and well, well worth the money. I use all of The Master’s Atlas and I love them far more than my traditional table top game mat. They are useful for any and all rpgs, and have made all of my sessions so much more fun. All of my players admire them, and they are incredibly versatile. I’ve been using them consistently for many months, and when using dry erase markers, they wipe off easily. I don’t recommend letting them stay marked for too long, as they can stain over time, but as long as you wipe them off after every game session, they will be just as pristine as the day you bought them. They are very sturdy, can definitely take some abuse from a rogue dog tail or clumsy player. Try to keep them from getting wet however (their one weakness) as they can warp. Basically treat these tiles well, and they will last you a long time, and look and work perfectly. I will continue to buy and love these as long as they exist.

I bought these to replace my own homemade tiles and this are great. I finally just used them in a session and I love them! The only minor flaw I have to talk about at this point is that the lines between tiles don't always line up perfectly, but that is a totally minor flaw as they're close enough. I can't really rate durability yet as I've only used them once, but they seem quite sturdy. If anything changes as far as their durability goes, I'll come back and alter my rating, but right now I am quite happy with these tiles. We don't have a whole lot of space where we play and those large place mats would take up all of our available space and probably still hang off the edge of our table. These are great for similar situations as you only need to put down the tiles that you actually need instead of having tons of wasted space.

I loved being able to prepare all the maps in advance, without giving away the entire scenario to my players, or giving away where the secret areas are by what I've covered up. I use a wheelchair, so trying to get to the centre of the table to draw maps (or even manipulate them) on the fly was impossible. With these tiles, I prepared them all in advance (working out the joins and which shape to use where was a puzzle that I enjoyed immensely). I labelled each tile with a grid key and a marker for North. When my players found a secret door, I simply handed them the next tile and got them to match the doorway markings. It worked brilliantly! They loved it and it was super easy for me on the day. The photo is of our completed investigation of a dwarven temple.

A very nice product that I use regularly in RPGs. There were a lot more tiles than I expected. It erases very well when used with dry erase markers and a dry erase eraser.

I bought these tiles for a buddy of mine who DM's our campaigns of D&D. He opened them up and he was immediately with them. The box of the product was plastic wrapped, and then when you opened it the pieces came in giant squares and were plastic wrapped as well. There did not appear to be any damage to the pieces or box at all. He has used them a few times and they work wonderfully. He is able to draw on them in wet erase and keep pieces off to the side, and then also use dry erase for piles of dirt that we can search through or other objects that may change or disappear. Overall, both him and I are satisfied with the product, and it helps out a ton to be able to draw out terrain on a budget.

I'll use these to prep a dungeon before the session and pull out segments as the group explores (I'll take a picture after I've finished making it for referencing during the session). Right now I use the parchment side for areas with natural light and the white side for dark areas they need torches, dark vision, etc. to see in. I'll also use a smaller tile and drop it on top of a larger tile already on the table for a hidden trap door, ambush, etc. It provides for versatility in design and plays well. Also good for quick setup. The only drawback is some of the dry erase markers don't rub off as easily as others, requiring a lot of elbow grease to get them clean. I'm thinking of picking up the grass and cobblestone set but would enjoy having a greater variety of cutout objects included.
