While the idea sounds good I found the top that goes around the calf extremely uncomfortable and if felt like it was cutting off circulation. I also did use the flip flop trick that other reviews mentioned and that was very helpful.I found this calf issue so unbearable that I ended up rolling it down and adjusting it to be more of an ankle sock, but i didn't feel like it gave enough of a stretchI had to give up on this one and I ordered something similar that only goes to the ankle. The band at the top of this was just too tight and dug into my calves

It provides a gentle stretch and seems to make my plantar fascia pain less painful in the morning after I’ve slept all night. However, it is uncomfortable to wear. The Velcro straps that wrap around the calf, right beneath the knee, is painful. I’d you loosen it, the sock will slip. If you are a stomach sleeper, the sock will be uncomfortable but, you will manage. You will need to have your nails short or your big toe nail will feel bruised. But, it does help with the plantar fascia pain …

I have been suffering with Plantar-Fasciitis for almost a year now. I was told this sock would almost fix my pain in my foot. I used it for jot even a week, when the elasticity started going. The sides of the sock started pebbling from the velcro. I then saw a whole in the toe portion of the sock. The whole is almost 2 inches big. It is right where the stitching from the toe attaches to the band that pulls the toe upward. If this is the name brand and high quality, why is it tearing and not working.

Un produit soigné et d’excellente qualité. Malheureusement le bas ne tient pas bien à la pointe du pied car il est ajusté uniquement au mollet. Je pense que cela diminue l’efficacité

Used following nasty sprain. It gave support and confidence to walk without fear of rolling my ankle again until I was healed.

I was advised to get this product by my physic for treatment of plantar fasciitis. I noticed an immediate improvement with reduced morning pain, and after 4 weeks accompanied by prescribed exercises the symptoms have nearly gone. Don't notice it in bed at night, and it is still in place in the morning. No problems with the material or application. Very impressed.

Don’t think of this as a the price of a sock. Instead think of it as the price for making a big difference to your foot pain - a pair of Strasburg socks is less than the price of a single physio session.I found a noticeable difference from the first use. I woke up in the morning feeling like my calves had a decent stretch and there was no/little throbbing in my feet.Start with reasonably gentle tension and then built is up over the next few nights. Even holding your feet in a neutral position will make a difference. Finally I had expected these to be difficult to sleep in but so far I’ve had no issues

I had one of these years ago and it greatly helped my Plantar Fasciitis (PF). My PF has returned with a vengeance after many years so knew I needed the sock. I got the large in black and it's a little big. My calf is 16" and I wear a women's size 10 shoe. I probably could have gone down one size. But this will work just fine. While it feels a bit unnatural at first, it's really quite comfortable and so much better for nighttime wear than a boot. Soft material and very durable. Just as well made, if not better, than the one I had 15 years ago. I can already feel this working. I know given enough time this will be the answer to my PF pain.

3.5 stars? Okay so I had heard great things about this sock, but was a bit skeptical with some of the reviews. But for $40 and Plantar Fasciitis that I had pretty much given up on, why not take a gamble. I have purchased enough different orthotics to the point where I could wear a different pair for a week straight. Add to that a couple of braces, special socks..etc, and $40 is just a drop in the bucket.Night 1. I used the sock as directed the first night. As other can attest to, there was a numbing of my toes. However the following morning there was some relief.Night 2. Decided to relax the strap a bit. The tingling subsided a bit but after the night was over, the relief the following morning was a fraction from the previous night.Night 3. Decided on a happy medium.with the strap. The following morning was much better but not perfect.Fast forward to today. I had purchased a cheap pair of Walmart flip flops as suggested by a few other reviews. After following their advice, I cut the flip flop straps and inserted it into the sock. This is the answer. No tingling of toes, no pulling of toes and no numbness. Brilliant.

I've suffered from plantar fasciitis for several months and have tried compression sleeves, therapy, NSAIDs, massage balls, rolling it with a frozen water bottle, etc., and while they've helped alleviate the pain for a short time, nothing was able to cure it. Every morning regardless of what I did the day before, I would step out of bed with stabbing heel pain. I saw the reviews for this sock and decided to give it a try. I decided against the splints because they sounded too uncomfortable. I had low hopes of this working simply because I didn't think I could sleep with it on. Im one of those people that can't have anything touching me when i sleep. I know, its weird, but I just can't sleep that way. I even kick the covers off my feet because my feet feel restrained. So the idea of something pulling on my toes all night sounded impossible. The first night with the sock, I took it off after a couple hours. The pulling on the toes was just too annoying to me to sleep. So I did what another reviewer suggested and bought a .98 pair of flip flops from Walmart. I cut the straps off and inserted the pad. That night was much more comfortable. The pad kept the sock from pulling directly on the toes but still bent my foot the proper way. I wasn't quite able to get to sleep the second night and took it off again. The mesh pattern and flip flop material bothered me. So the next night i placed a sock over the pad and put it back in. That was the trick. It was very comfortable and I was able to sleep all night through. After two days of this, i woke up to no stabbing heel pain. I still feel a dull ache down there but the pain has improved amazingly. I'm confident that I will be fully healed soon. This sock is the best!
