We had a gas fireplace maintenance scheduled for our fireplace. We had chipped & peeling paint inside our fireplace. Painting was included with the service call. I had bought this paint previously thinking I could do it myself but we have never had maintenance done on our fireplace before since we just bought our home 2 years ago. I bought this color (almond) hoping it would match the inside of our fireplace but really was hoping for the best....the cap is slightly darker than what I was expecting. When the company got here all they had was black so I was so glad I had bought this paint! They said it was high quality & it would be great for the job. As he started painting I was so happy to see it was also a perfect color match! After he was done with the scheduled maintenance the paint is holding up beautifully! I highly recommend this product!

The Surf Sand color matches our 1980's Vermont Castings sand colored Defiant/Encore better than the Sand, However this color (Surf Sand) has a bit of a reflective quality and is - or can be quite shinny, or reflective in a slightly unapealing way. Depending ion how the light hits it... it is an exact match for our old origonal version Defiant/Encore to looking darker (depending on lighting. We have not yet fired the stove and the paint color may change with heating. The SAND color is lighter and looks way better on the stove pipe because it does not have the reflective quality

Sprayed for about 30 seconds and then started to spit and spatter. Now it won’t spray at all. Even tried setting the can in warm water to help it flow better. Can is still full but, won’t spray. The color is gold which I think is not as advertised.

Not at all the color that appears in the picture.....much, much darker. What's even worse is, I cannot return it.

As far as durability, seems to hold up fine. I used it to paint a firearm. Goes on good. What I didn't like was the color. It's not flat, and it's sheen has an almost iridescent quality to it, like very fine glitter.

I decided that our fireplaces needed updating, so I wanted to use the fireplace glass rather than logs and our fire boxes were rather trashed, so I purchased this paint to clean up the boxes. I didn't know it had a metallic finish, but it adds a little sparkle to our box and reflective quality for the glass. The color is more gray than sand to me.
